Vehicle Detail
1968 Pontiac Lemans (GTO clone): Very nice 68' Pontiac Lemans nicely and correctly done into a GTO. All emblems have been switched out to GTO emblems including the fender GTO 6.5L, the rear quarter GTO emblems as well as the trunk lid. The front has the correct Endura type nose with GTO grill. GTO dual scooped hood. The Engine is the 400 V8 out of a 1970 Pontiac GTO. It was previously rebuilt by previous owner. It had sat for years in his garage so its in fantastic shape. I threw some oil and trans fluid in and drove it home. Hate to sell, just trying to get rid of some of the vehicles in the yard. It runs and drives nicely, needs a just a little bit of TLC to be a daily. Shifts great, column shift. I believe it has the TH 400 Automatic transmission. The engine has a mild cam, 4x manifolds with dual exhaust in great condition and has a nice rumble to her. Holley 4 bbl double pumper carburetor. Aluminum intake. Chrome valve and breather covers. New battery. Still has some old gas in her, I'll try and get around to getting it out. Power steering and power brakes work nicely. Originally an A/C car with all the components, controls etc just doesnt have the condenser and lines. Front Disk brakes. Rear Adjustable air shocks. Crager SS rims look great on the car, decent condition. I am throwing in (3) Pontiac Rally Rims in with the sale of the car. The floor pans, trunk pan and frame rails are all in great shape with no rust issues. White paint job looks good, did a decent job as far as looks but its not show quality. I think it looks good though. Black top, rubber type material in nice shape. A few spots that can be re rubbered to smooth out. No rust issues there. The body panels are all very solid and I cant see any rust issues. Fenders are very nice. Rockers and doors look great. Quarters are solid. Checked behind the panels and they seem solid, just some skim to smooth the surface. Super solid, no rust issues on this car that I can see. Lights all work, headlights, brake lights, signals and gauges. Even the original key buzzer still works! Has very nice black interior in great shape. Fabric type seats, bench front with fold down center arm rest. No rips, nice and plush. The rear bench in great shape as well. The carpeting is very nice. The dash where all the gauges are and all across to the glove box looks new. Just the dash pad area was affected by sunlight so it got cracked. Can be replaced. Door panels are in awesome shape with no rips or tears and have the GTO emblems with the 6.5L on them as well. Rear door panels in great shape. Original Pontiac steering wheel. New detachable face CD player installed with speakers. They work excellent, great sound. Headliner in great shape. Rear speaker deck in great shape. Solid around all windows, no rust. Seals on doors work nicely, no leaking. Glass all works great, roll up and down very nicely. All chrome looks great. Will make someone a great car, very nice GTO. If you are interested and would like any other info or pictures just let me know. (Will also include a few extra parts to go along with the car like an original 68' Lemans Chrome Front Bumper in nice shape. It has the grill and light lamps already in it. They can get expensive. The (3) Pontiac Rally wheels in okay shape. And an extra rear bumper for the car in good shape (Black)). Thanks and good luck. Paul
