1991 Geo Metro Convertible. The Good: New within last 5k miles/ 1.5 years: 2010 Tires, Exhaust, new TOP , 2011 dash replaced with one with no cracks, .alternator, top engine rebuild, new radiator and hoses, used trans with 30k miles on it, roll bar from s2000 installed. (gives safety and more stable ride,) 2012 seats from a 2005 Miata, console from Dodge neon for convenience, The Not-so Good: The guy before me put a passable blue paint job on it but it was scratched in moving. It could be touched up. Intermittent switch does not work but they are about 40.00 on ebay. Just not an issue for me. Has a slight oil loss. I add 1 qt about every 1000 miles. No big deal. No radio or speakers but have wiring harness. That was next on the list. The GREAT! It is fun to drive and takes 10 gal to fill up and that lasts over 300 miles with the top down. It is long on thrift not power but will hold its own in town. Just need to make an appointment to pass. I have the original console, etc... and it goes with the car along with a very nice set of window rubber seals for the top. To be honest, i was going to spend the winter getting the paint in shape. It was originally red. But I have moved and just don't have time and I don't have a garage or carport here. All the major work was done by professionals. I did the interior stuff. I have way too much money in this to get it out. Just want to see it finished. High bid wins so plan to buy if you bid. For sale locally so it may go soon but I will not sell away from ebay if the price gets to my asking price here. It is fun to drive, looks sporty and is a real head turner. I can pick up in Atlanta, Greenville SC or Asheville NC and you can drive home at your own risk. This car is not made for highway driving but I have driven it for 2.5 hour trips one way. I am 6'3'' and weigh 250 and I fit. It is surprisingly a good ride for the wheel base and weight. The trunk is adequate and big given the size of the car.
