My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of buying a vehicle. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how this vehicle runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read this description that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos carefully BEFORE asking questions or bidding. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 2000 Mercedes-Benz S430 sedan. I would rate the exterior condition of this vehicle as BELOW AVERAGE for the age and mileage of this vehicle and will have wear associated with such mileage. Overall, this is a good looking Mercedes. There are multiple scratches and other signs of damage on the exterior. The most notable of which are a large dent in the right rear door and a deep scrape on the hood with some paint damage. Also, the right front marker is missing and there is some light damage there as well. Please review the photos in great detail and remember...this vehicle has 153k miles, not 53k miles. If you're looking for a vehicle to show off in or if you're the type to drive your checking account, this is probably not the car for you. If you spend a lot of time on the road and want the comfort of a full sized vehicle designed for the open road and don't want to pay for a retail perfect one, please read on. Again, this is a good looking vehicle overall. However, it is far from perfect. The parking assist sometimes beeps when it shouldn't...I keep it off. The alloy wheels look good. The tires are fair at best and should be replaced within a year...maybe sooner depending on your states inspection rules. I would rate the interior of this Mercedes to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The worst I can say about the interior condition is that the cup holder is broken (as most are at this age). The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The door panels show well and are tight. The seats are in good condition throughout the interior. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof are all in good working order. Both front seats are heated. The wood shows well for the miles. The dash is clean and free of cracks. The climate control system is fully automatic and is in proper working order. One of the button covers is missing but the button works properly. The air conditioning blows ice cold air. The center display powers up and responds to commands but I cannot get sound to come from the speakers. Admittedly, I am not too familiar with this specific radio so the problem may just be me. The vehicle is equipped with Bose premium sound with cassette and CD plus GPS navigation. Interior room is unmatched and the trunk is spacious and clean. The factory remote entry works properly. Mechanically, this Mercedes-Benz appears to be in running and driving condition. The 4.3L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. I've driven this Mercedes the past two days, including a round trip from Central PA to DC and back, and she drives pretty well. The suspension is tight and responsive all around with no errors. The steering is neutral and responsive. There is a very slight vibration around 80mph due to the aforementioned poor tires. It tracks perfectly strait on the highway. The engine temperature stays normal. The brake wear warning is on but the brakes feel okay and stop the car with absolutely no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. I just replaced the front Signal Acquisition Module with a brand new OEM unit at a cost of $600. The only outstanding issues are as follows; 1) the brake lights are always on when the car is on. 2) the wipers do not work. I will forward a copy of my invoice and work order to the new owner if it helps with the remaining issues. The car is now reliably drivable which is all the further I want to get into it. I am not in the business of "retail perfect". I sell every vehicle "as-is" and "as-traded" unless there is a drivability issue. I've taken care of the drivability issue. You can drive this car anywhere with confidence. If you're looking for perfect, NADA retail value on this vehicle is $10,800. I will gladly make it perfect for $10,800. Otherwise, please bid to own. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of buying a vehicle. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how this vehicle runs and drives. Please keep in mind as you read this description that I am neither a mechanic nor do I operate a full service facility. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and review each of the photos carefully BEFORE asking questions or bidding. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 2000 Mercedes-Benz S430 sedan. I would rate the exterior condition of this vehicle as BELOW AVERAGE for the age and mileage of this vehicle and will have wear associated with such mileage. Overall, this is a good looking Mercedes. There are multiple scratches and other signs of damage on the exterior. The most notable of which are a large dent in the right rear door and a deep scrape on the hood with some paint damage. Also, the right front marker is missing and there is some light damage there as well. Please review the photos in great detail and remember...this vehicle has 153k miles, not 53k miles. If you're looking for a vehicle to show off in or if you're the type to drive your checking account, this is probably not the car for you. If you spend a lot of time on the road and want the comfort of a full sized vehicle designed for the open road and don't want to pay for a retail perfect one, please read on. Again, this is a good looking vehicle overall. However, it is far from perfect. The parking assist sometimes beeps when it shouldn't...I keep it off. The alloy wheels look good. The tires are fair at best and should be replaced within a year...maybe sooner depending on your states inspection rules.
I would rate the interior of this Mercedes to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The worst I can say about the interior condition is that the cup holder is broken (as most are at this age). The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The door panels show well and are tight. The seats are in good condition throughout the interior. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof are all in good working order. Both front seats are heated. The wood shows well for the miles. The dash is clean and free of cracks. The climate control system is fully automatic and is in proper working order. One of the button covers is missing but the button works properly. The air conditioning blows ice cold air. The center display powers up and responds to commands but I cannot get sound to come from the speakers. Admittedly, I am not too familiar with this specific radio so the problem may just be me. The vehicle is equipped with Bose premium sound with cassette and CD plus GPS navigation. Interior room is unmatched and the trunk is spacious and clean. The factory remote entry works properly.
Mechanically, this Mercedes-Benz appears to be in running and driving condition. The 4.3L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. I've driven this Mercedes the past two days, including a round trip from Central PA to DC and back, and she drives pretty well. The suspension is tight and responsive all around with no errors. The steering is neutral and responsive. There is a very slight vibration around 80mph due to the aforementioned poor tires. It tracks perfectly strait on the highway. The engine temperature stays normal. The brake wear warning is on but the brakes feel okay and stop the car with absolutely no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. I just replaced the front Signal Acquisition Module with a brand new OEM unit at a cost of $600. The only outstanding issues are as follows; 1) the brake lights are always on when the car is on. 2) the wipers do not work. I will forward a copy of my invoice and work order to the new owner if it helps with the remaining issues. The car is now reliably drivable which is all the further I want to get into it. I am not in the business of "retail perfect". I sell every vehicle "as-is" and "as-traded" unless there is a drivability issue. I've taken care of the drivability issue. You can drive this car anywhere with confidence. If you're looking for perfect, NADA retail value on this vehicle is $10,800. I will gladly make it perfect for $10,800. Otherwise, please bid to own. Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
