I have for sale my beautiful1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible, I am listing the car for NO RESERVE so any bid over my starting price could buy the car. Fuel injected 5.0 AOD overdrive transmission out of an 1989 Mustang GT, the car gets over 20 MPG on road trips. The car is equipped with factory Power windows and tilt column, wood wheel, console, 18 inch staggard custom wheels COYS lowered rebuilt suspension and aftermarket CD player. Great fun car, nice paint and top. Rare car about 1500 XR7 convertibles made in 1971. Gets lots of looks and positive comments. Super reliable I have taken it across country multiple times on Hot Rod Power Tour, The car won Best of show at the COUGAR NATIONALS in 2007 and has been Best Mercury at Ford Day at Bandimere Speedway Denver CO. multiple times. I hate to have to sell but I don't have room to store any longer as I have a new old school project. The paint is six years old and does have some rock chips from being driven. There are no dents or rust on the body of the vehicle, the car was originally from Las Vegas Nevada. One small dent in rear bumper shown in pictures. The car is a factory air car and the motor has an AC pump but the AC is not working.
