Vehicle Detail
This truck is an absolutly beautiful example of a homebuilt custom street rod. I am listing this for my friend and he has owned this truck for 38 years and bought it as a daily driver before building it the first time in the 1989 and updating it again in 2010. Just about every inch of this vehicle has been modified in some manner. It has won many trophies and awards since being built including a Goodguys Award. This truck is fully operational and has NEVER been trailored. The ride and handling is very comfortable.THERE WILL BE NO DISAPPOINTMENTS in regards to the quality and condition of this F100. I will attempt to provide a detailed description of what you are viewing but I promise my words and these pictures will not fully describe its beauty. The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet small-block engine. The block is a standard-bore 4 bolt main block. The heads are factory cast-iron with hardened seats for unleaded gasoline and the intake manifold is a Edelbrock Cross Ram Dual Quad unit using 2 Carter AFB's, Stainless block-hugger headers with copper gaskets with 3" exhaust and dual Flowmaster mufflers. It has an Accel distributor, a stainless water pump, billet pulleys, custom distributor cover and wire looms, The fuel system has an electric fuel pump with a 20 gallon stainless tank and stainless fuel lines. The BeCool radiator is a 4 core aluminum unit which is manufactured to be a direct bolt-in replacement for this truck. The pictures will show the factory-installed appearance of this unit. The 700R4 transmission was completely rebuilt to stock specs and has a custom aluminum driveshaft and finned frame-mounted cooler. The rear-end is a Jaguar unit sporting 3:54 gears, inboard disc-brakes, and custom axel half-shafts. The frame and suspension consist of a fully boxed 1956 Ford frame with Heidt's Superride ll, power rack & pinion steering, stainless steel tubular control arms, 4-wheel power disc brakes with an electric vacumn pump, and coil-over suspension on all four wheels. The wheels are RODLITE manufactured by Weld Wheel Co. The front tires are 205x70x14 and the rears are 31x18.50x15. The interior was professionally completed using a Tea's Custom Hot Rods split back bench seat. In addition, it sports custom door panels, headliner, carpet, firewall underdash cover, and a full-custom smoothed dash using Classic All American Series 6 gauges. The fuel gauge does not operate. Ididit tilt-steering column with a Lecarra banjo steering wheel. The side windows are one-piece, power-operated units. ALL glass, seals, felts, etc... are new. The doors operate with Bear Claw latches and are actuated by electric solonoid. The body of this truck has been extensivley modified yet retains the original classic lines of a 1956 Ford F100. The hood and front fenders are fiberglass while the remainder of the truck is steel. The hood tilts forward to open. The front fenders have been tucked. The steel running boards have been sectioned 2 inches. The rear fenders are steel along with the bed and tubs. It has a custom rear roll-pan with 1950 Pontiac tail lights and over 100 louvers on the fixed tailgate. The spare tire cover was also custom made and painted to match. The door handles are shaved. The fuel door is in the rear floor of the bed. It has a 3rd brake light located under the rear window. Stake pockets are filled. It has a smoothed firewall. The new wiring harness is hidden in the frame. The Tangier Orange base/clear paint is very deep and very smooth.
