Vehicle Detail

UPDATE: Man if I had a dollar for every guy who said they were coming to get the car, I'd be rich. Everyone wants it. No one has the money. This is a cheap and fast way to get yourself into a GN. Due to all the dreamers, I am changing the terms of the ad. Wow! I had this car out last night and she is running AWESOME! Lighting the tires up effortlessly. Pulling like a freight train down the strip. To answer some questions: Yes, the car is registered. No trades at this time. Also, I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time due to the car being for sale locally. 1986 Buick Grand National Hardtop This is a nice GN. The first year of the truly FAST intercooled turbo Regals which were only made in '86 and '87. It's a genuine Grand National, (WE2 code). The VINs match on the dash and the deck lid RPO tag. She's not a show car, although I was asked that when I was taking these pictures yesterday. The car looks great from 10 feet away. Up close you can see some imperfections in the paint and a few minor rust spots. See pics. The car runs and drives awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere. She is garage-kept. I have spent a lot of money on her recently. Many, many new parts. She is mostly stock. The only two upgrades are I believe the injectors and the fuel pump. Also, a cold air intake kit. The fuel pump is brand spanking new. It's a Walbro pump and I just had my mechanic install it last week. Power antenna works!! The radio sounds great but once in a blue moon it won't turn on. I usually wait a few seconds and try again and it's good. Brand new starter as well! Brand new bumper fillers all the way around! She has keyless entry and trunk pop with a really nice alarm system. The previous owner converted her over to vacuum brakes. The car stops great. I've taken this beast to day trips down the shore. Drove her for 5 hours with no problems. She's an animal. I believe the trans is rebuilt. She has a pretty heavy duty tranny cooler which is a must on these cars. The speedometer just stopped working about a month ago. I think the gauge cluster needs a rebuild and possibly a new upper half speedo cable. The check engine light will come on occasionally as a result of no speed signal. I had my mechanic check the code. A new or rebuilt cluster is an easy fix. The title is Reconstructed. I believe the car was stolen back in 1995 and taken on a joy ride and then recovered with no damage. The state inspected the car and issued a reconstructed title I'm guessing due to an insurance claim. Every state is different and several don't even have titles for cars this old. She is an antique at 26 years old. Check with your local DMV but you should have no problem registering this car. Everyone know how popular GNs were to get stolen. This isn't my first GN with an R title and it won't be the last. The paint is about 10 years old and I believe it was a Maaco paint job. It cleans up very well! Just about everything works except speedo and the A/C is blowing warm. I'm guessing it needs a charge or possibly a compressor. The rear tires are dry rotted. The front tires are brand new. The interior is decent but not great. The driver seat has a small tear on the bottom. The door panels are semi warn, however the pull straps look great, which is unusual for these cars. The steering wheel is nice. The dash is ok but does have a crack in the middle on the rubber/vinyl (very common). The top of the back seat is faded/warn from the sun. The headliner is nice but sagging a tad in the back. The rugs are nice. The sunvisors are warn as well. Overall, the interior is nice but needs a little work to be perfect. Feel free to ask any questions. I am happy to assist with long distance transactions and can meet with any shipping companies paid for and set up by the buyer. I can be contacted here or at gmphilly @ gmail. com. Thank you and good luck.
