This is a 1939 Buick Special Convertible. Black(needs paint) with original maroon leather interior(cracked and ripped) Overhead valve straight 8(quiet) three speed stick on the column(smooth). First year of directionals. Hydraulic breaks. Front and rear coil spring suspension. No radio. Headlights are sealed beams. This is a running, driving car that could be used as is (the top is in fairly good condition with a glass drop down rear window). The windows all go up and down very easily, the doors shut very well with a nice sound to them.Lights,gauges and wipers(slow) in working order(6 volt). All of the panels fit very well.One key fits both doors and ignition and a second key fits trunk. It has no heavy surface rust on the frame and the body itself has only minor rust in the rockers and rear tail outer panel. Overall, this is a very solid, dry and 99%complete car(missing drop legs for jump seats and trim for stream boards) that has been garaged that I know of since 1975. The car was last on the road, according to the last inspection sticker, in 1964. It could be restored or used as is.
