2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10. That is really all the description you need to want to buy this car. However, I will tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly about this particular Viper. This vehicle is finished in bright red with black leather and suede interior with a black convertible top, how do you get any better than that on a sports car. For those that don't know this vehicle is powered by a 505 cubic inch V10 producing 505 hp. and 525 ft. lbs. of torque, plenty to get a 3000 sports car to move in a hurry. If you are looking to be low profile and not get noticed too much, this is NOT the car for you. If you want something that stands out in the crowd and you rarely pass your own car, there isn't anything much better. On to the details about this specific vehicle. This vehicle is a two owner vehicle with no accident damage. Vehicle runs and drives great with no funny noises, no leaks, no smoke, ect..... Vehicle has like new rubber all the way around, all nittos except for the right front. Vehicle has brand new rotors and pads all the way around. Vehicle was just professionally buffed and waxed all over. I did have the front and rear bumpers as well as the passenger side door painted. The bumpers had bug chips and scuffs on them and the door had what looked like a key scratch. As far as options, a Viper is pretty well sparse in that area, but had gotten a little better by this model. As mentioned earlier, you get leather and suede interior, AM/FM CD player, tilt, cruise, A/C, power locks, mirrors and windows and even a single cup holder. But remember these cars were built to showcase american muscle and that was where all the money was spent. Here in fact is what the folks at Motortrend said about this vehicle: As if the previous Viper weren't raucous enough, a maximum-strength version--the SRT-10--is now available for 2003. Although some pieces carry over, much of the new asp is a clean-sheet redesign. The SRT-10's foundation employs a heavily revised racing-style chassis replete with fully independent suspension at each corner paired with gargantuan 18x10/19x13-inch forged alloy wheels. A new aluminum space frame increases stiffness over the previous Viper for improved handling and decreased noise/vibration/harshness. The wheelbase has been extended 2.6 inches, yet in overall length, the SRT-10 is 1.1 inches shorter than the RT/10. On the outside, the bodywork is new and edgy. Stealth-Fighter-like panels look to have come straight from Lockheed Martin's Skunkworks, and the extensive use of carbon fiber and composite panels helps reduce overall vehicle weight by 100 pounds. The bodywork, special under-car belly pan, well-integrated convertible top, and lower hood line team to improve aerodynamics for better high-speed stability.The new look is striking, but the big news is underhood: An illuminated starter button brings to life an entirely new 8.3-liter (505 cube) V-10 engine that packs a whopping 500 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of tire-melting fury. Despite having significantly more venom (+50 hp/+35 lb-ft), the power curve is much smoother and wider, which produces a less-violent-feeling engine than before.While the added power is wonderful, the Viper's biggest improvement is its much-upgraded braking system. Four-piston fixed calipers clamp pizza-size 14-inch rotors (all monitored by ABS), and 100-0-mph stopping distances have decreased a staggering 80 feet from the previous RT/10's.A redesigned cockpit delivers more passenger space, better ergonomics, and good control of wind buffeting--but it's still a bit tight. The press kit mentions a seven-speaker, 310-watt AM/FM/CD stereo system, but the raspy rumble emanating from the sidepipes is all the music we need.The new SRT-10 is a significant improvement over the previous offering, yet, considering its from-scratch design, we're disappointed that the new snake isn't even better. Still present (while improved) is the familiar Viper jounce and twitchy tracking--even on smooth, straight roads. The knife-edged breakaway of the rearend during hard cornering still looms, but is more tamed. And the heat radiating off the beast still abounds. It is like new but mismatched none-the-less.In the pictures and the video you can see it does have a plastic bezel broken near the door handle.It has a small stained square in the suede section of the drivers side seat, it may come out, but I didn't want to mess with the suede.The defrost vent in the dash is loose.The shift ball feels stripped. It stays on the shifter, but you can turn it.It has some mild curb rash on a couple wheels, no chunks or gouges, but some curb rash.Finally, sometimes the exterior drivers side door latch will not open the door. I think it may be a loose connection somewhere.I know, this is not a perfect car and you should also know that I am not asking perfect car money for it. I'm not even asking low retail for this car. That does not mean this is not a nice car. THIS IS A NICE CAR, but it is a used car and needs a few things to be perfect. I try my best to do business in a up front and honest way and I therefore tell about the flaws my vehicle has. The way I look at it, you can buy my car knowing what you need to spend to have a very nice to perfect car or you can buy someones car that has been advertised as a perfect car and be disappointed when it shows up.
