I drive every one of my sale vehicles and write a thorough description including the good and bad of the vehicle. Up for auction with NO RESERVE is a clean Volvo S70 sedan. This S70 has the 2.4L low pressure turbo engine. The Volvo turbo set-up on the low pressure engines is designed to deliver good fuel economy and drivability, not turn a Volvo sedan into a sports car. It does make it a much better engine all around than the non-turbo motor and it still gets 30 mpg. The automatic transmission in this car shifts well. This is an AWD equipped car. However, Volvo driveshafts are crap and they break a lot. The driveshaft on this car was in place and working when I bought the car, but it broke. The car will run perfectly in front wheel drive mode with no rear driveshaft, and it is quite common to see the S70 (and V70 wagon) drive like this for years. If the buyer would like to have the driveshaft rebuilt, I will include the old driveshaft with the car. I have driven the car both before and after the driveshaft was removed, and it really does not make any noticeable difference in normal driving. The steering is straight and the suspension is neutral, like a Volvo should be. The ABS brakes stop well. The silver exterior of the car is in good condition overall. The silver paint shows well and is a good color for this car. There are a couple of dings (see pics). The alloy wheels are in good condition and are wrapped in radial tires with good tread depth. The black leather interior of the car is in excellent condition. The leather seats do not have any tears or holes and are very comfortable to ride on. The power seat works well and adjusts in multiple directions. The carpets and headliner are in good shape. The power windows, locks, and mirrors all work as they should. The keyless entry remote works intermittently. It may just need a new battery or it may have been damaged. The power sunroof tilts, slides, and closes easily. The factory AM/FM stereo with CD player has good sound quality, but the radio reception is weak. The CD player works excellently. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.
Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, each bidder enters into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should they be the successful bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully excercized their ability to complete any diligence needed prior to placing their bid.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
