Up for auction is a fun 1998 Ford Contour SE with the 2.5L 24v V6 and 5-speed manual transmission. This engine and transmission combo is a potent package in a small, light car like the Contour. This small V6 has the combination of good gas mileage if you're light on the gas and high revving horsepower when you get into the go-pedal. The clutch is light and easy and the transmission shifts between gears nicely. The ride is rather bouncy. I think the rear shocks/struts are in need of attention. The brakes stop well. The blue metallic paint is in average condition and it shines up nicely. As you can see in the pictures, it has scratches and small blemishes as you would expect from age and normal use. The tires are a bit thin, but they are serviceable for now. The alloy wheels are in good condition. The interior of the car is in above average condition. The bolstered cloth seats are comfortable and do not have any holes or tears. The headliner is in good condition. The carpets are in good shape. They do have some discoloration, looks like a spilled drink or two. The power windows, locks, and mirrors all work well. The Ford factory power sun roof opens and closes easily. The stereo has been replaced with a Pioneer CD player. It sounds good. I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they have read and agree to our entire terms & conditions as well as eBay's terms & conditions. Additionally, each bidder enters into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should they be the successful bidder. By placing a bid on any of our auctions, each bidder asserts that they understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle and have fully excercized their ability to complete any diligence needed prior to placing their bid.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 administrative fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, ect., and is not applied to any transfer costs incurred by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
