Grandma's 2003 Honda CRV LX Sport Utility 4 Door 2.4L (27MPG Avg Gas Mileage) Grandma has finally gotten a new car. So.... here is her 2003 Honda. It has been a super reliable vehicle that she has comfortably relied on to drive back and forth from work, vacations, and family functions for 9 years. Though she has been very, very good about servicing her car there are a few issues I found when I went to take the pictures and get it ready for you: 1) Though the air conditioning was working, it is not working now... it blew cooler for a bit and then stopped. I'm not sure what is wrong, but no cold air is coming out. The compressor is moving fine and there are no weird noises coming from it. The blower is working great. Your guess is better than mine. 2) The driver's side electric window switch is non-operating. All other electric switches are working great. 3) The SRS dash light came on recently. I believe that this is the 10 year maintenance light, but be aware. The vehicle has experienced no issues/incidents in conjunction with the light coming on. 4) The dash Check Engine light has been on forever. Grandma has taken this car to the local shop for it's entire life and they have serviced it back and forth, but have never turned out the light. I drove the CR-V and it ran great with no issues whatsoever. Nonetheless, be aware. 5) The Driver's Side key lock is very sticky and won't take the key as is. The electric lock works fine, but the key won't go all the way in. Maybe a cleaning? 6) Grandma had a construction barrel tag her on the Driver's Front Bumper and, though it didn't do any body damage you can see the bruises on the bumper pics. Check them out. 7) Like any other country car that is almost ten years old, there are dings, bumps, and scratches all around.
