Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 1984 PORSCHE 944 87,161 Actual Miles VIN: WP0AA0941EN464593 VEHICLE CONDITION REPORT EXTERIOR / BODY & CHASSIS: OVERALL, IT PRESENTS VERY WELL. THE CAR LOOKS PERFECT UNTIL YOU LOOK VERY, VERY CLOSELY AT IT. - Paint shines nicely - Very straight sides (see photos) - Sunroof panel has many small scratches from being transported in the hatch (see photos) - Hood has many small stone chips and some micro-blistering along the style lines. This is only noticeable up close. - NO RUST (see photos) - Very small dent to right front fender (see photos) - Small scratches to front bumper (see photos) - Paint believed to be mostly original, with the exception of the driver’s door and rear quarter panel. These panels were very faded and scratched up, so I had them professionally refinished. INTERIOR: - The interior presents well. It’s very clean and not all beat up. It looks the part of a cared for, 28-year-old car with low mileage. - Dash has usual cracks - Driver’s seat is in great shape - Leather to passenger’s seat lower cushion has dried out and cracked. (see photos) - Everything works except the radio (original Porsche radio), the A/C and the cruise control. MECHANICAL: - This car runs & drives great!! - When it’s running, it makes no funny noises - Exhaust is quiet - Clutch is good - Brakes are good - Tires have more than 50% tread left, but are very old - Car tracks straight and true; mild shimmy at +/- 75mph - Original FUCHS wheels are in excellent condition THE HISTORY: Normal 0 I bought this car from an 82-year-old man, who had owned the car since 2003. He drove it sparingly, and parked it in his garage. When I got it, it had not been driven in three years or more. I promptly serviced the car with new filters and fluids, and have driven it a little more than 500 miles since I’ve had it. It seems that the more it’s driven, the better it runs and drives. I seem to have worked all the bugs out by now, and I’m only selling it because my wife and I are buying a house. There are two things left to tend to. One is the air conditioning. It doesn’t work, and I have no idea why it doesn’t. The other thing I would do, if I were able to keep the car, would be to change the timing belt. I would do this as preventative maintenance. The man I bought the car from told me that he had a belt change done at 86,000 miles. However, he gave me no documentation to that effect, and 86,000 miles occurred at least five years ago.
