This is an incredible example of the best engineered cars Mercedes Benz produded from 1972 all the way to 1989.The car was kept with the same body and design because of it popularity,and has become a true collector's icon.This is a 1974 Mercedes 450SL convertible in stunning condition.The car is totally original right down to the working Becker "Europa"AM/FM stereo radio with the working original front mounted power antenna.It still has the spectacular original black interior.The original multi-flexed carpets are in beautiful condition with no worn spots of any kind.The seats were covered and protected for many years and is in like new condition.No rips and no breakdown of the paddings.It comes with both the hardtop and softtop.The black canvas convertible top was replaced recently and in perfect condition.The hardtop has been stored with no defects.The car was garaged always and was hardly driven the last 20 years.Califonria rust free car with only 45,679 original miles.Since many of these roadsters were driven regularly,low miles like this one are extremely hard to come by.1974 is the first year for the nice safety standard bumpers in the USA.The paint is lustrous and free of any type of damage or blemishes.The body is perfection and has never had any bodywork or accidents of any kind.Not one spec of rust anywhere from top to the bottom of the car.The paint color is called "Anthracite"and is one of these types of colors that is just so stunning that you just can't keep your eyes off of it.The car has the original cast iron 4.5 litre V-8.It is fuel injected with the 276 cubic inch engine.Runs and drives very well.Recently replaced radiator and cooling system.Brakes and calipers were done about 2k miles ago.Fully detailed and ready to go.This is an incredible show stopper.
