Vehicle Detail

1932 Ford Tudor Sedan. This Ford was restored 40 years ago and has provided many years of enjoyment to one family. The color is Washington Blue with Black Moldings and Tacoma Cream Wheels. The body is very solid with no signs of any rust damage. The floor is in excellent condition. The fenders are original Ford, very solid but with many chips and scrapes. The interior is done correctly in Gray Broadcloth and is very presentable and useable. There is some staining on the door panels and the headliner has a small hole above the passenger seat. The engine is believed to be a 1937 engine and is a strong runner, very quiet and smooth.. The brakes are 1940 Ford Hydraulic conversion. The transmission was rebuilt with synchro gears. Under hard compression there is a tendancy for the transmission to pop out of 2nd gear, a not uncommon minor problem with these transmissions. Otherwise it shifts just fine. The car cruises smoothly down the highway at 55-60 MPH. The tires should be replaced. Although lots of tread is present, there are signs of cracking showing due to age. The wheels are 16". The exhaust system needs to be replaced. The left exhaust manifold is cracked but a replacement is included with the purchase. A new muffler is also included. Overall, the car runs and drives very well and with a little servicing will be ready for long tours. The car can best be described as a "20 Footer".The paint is shiny and the car is very attractive but the paint shows many chips and defects upon closer inspection. The car has the appearance of a "Barn Find" although it was restored 4 decades ago. The patina of the finish and the condition of the car in general is considered very desireable by hobbyists today. This is the very best buy for a '32 Ford on the market today! On Jul-02-12 at 08:23:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Correction: The engine is a 1936 or earlier replacement.
