Vehicle Detail
Thanks for looking. One owner original unmolested highly sought after Ranchero GT. Runs and drives nicely. Sold new and was kept in Lake Havasu, Az, so it is free of the usual rust issues. I work hard to accurately and thoroughly descibe the vehicles I sell here as a private seller. If you need more info, pics, or would like to inspect the vehicle during the auction, please ask. My phone # is (805) 208-3518. Outside description: original, with no detectable bondo or plastic fillers. Wheel wells and rockers are solid. Window edges do not have rust problems. No surface rust is present on panels as shown in the pictures. NO rust throughs on the body parts. Windows are scratch and crack free. Windshield is clear and undamaged. All trim and garnishment moldings are present and in excellent condition. Light groups work., Light lenses are good and bright. Front/rear bumper is straight. All doors open and close easily; NO hinge sag even on the drivers door. The trim mldg is weather worn and will need to be replaced All panels are straight. Has original Ford steel rally wheels with beauty rings. Door locks work without issue. Tires are all good. Hold air but are weather cracked. No spare. Jack and tools. As shown in picture detail, bed is in excellent condition. Interior description. All original reflecting the mileage of 102,000 miles. Cracks in the dash pad. Has original am radio with 8-track.. Gauges work, dash lights work. Courtesy lite under dash works. Seat needs new upholstery. As shown in the pictures, The carpet and pad are there but need to be replaced. Sound barrier is also there. Front /rear pans are very solid showing no rust. Headliner is removed. Windows travel easily without binding. All trim is present. Blower motor is working. The a/c heater controls operate excellent and hold vacuum well. A/C vents are unbroken. I was told A/C work fine and need charging. Driving condition. Engine starts easily, idles well, and runs smoothly. No engine noises, or smoking issues. No condition lights on the dash are present suggesting proper limits for oil pressure. Does not over heat. All original equipment under the hood, except or air cleaner. I did buy an air cleaner for a mid 70’s Lincoln big block. No modifications present. The engine is orginal with 102.000. Transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. The car accelerates properly and brakes smoothly. The vehicle has a new carb and distributor which are about two years old, but vehicle has not been driven since replaced. The air conditioning system appears in working order. The piston style compressor comes on but does not cool. Shocks appear fine. Don’t know how old they are. The engine does not appear to have ANY oil leaks. As a south Arizona car, there is only minor surface rust on the undercarriage and certainly no rust issues. The stance on the car is correct with a nose down attitude. Since this car is built on the LTD and Torino platform and wheelbase, it rides incredibly nice. With the 4BBL carb, it should get respectable gas mileage, if you can keep your foot out of the back two barrels. As prices creep down below $4. Mechanicals. I've covered a lot of mechanicals in the description, but I'll include that the oil is clean, transmission fluid red with no apparent burning. The starting motor circuit does not drag, and the car starts easily. This is a 4 BBL original 460 engine (I would like to add here that in 1976 only 700 Rancheros were built with 460’s. I don’t know how many are left, especially in this condition. This is an upgrade from the standard 302/351 motor so many of these had. The steering has only minor slack and the power steering is the typical easy Ford style. Belts and hoses seem to be is good useable condition. I could drive the car every day. OVERVIEW: This is a highly desired truck, and upgrade over the standard Ranchero, and has the 460 engine with C-6 transmission power windows, tow package, rally wheels (with beauty rings). No body work is needed, it is all original and is on the second owner vehicle, runs and drives well, and has 4 BBL carburetion and air conditioning. Car is sold without warranties, This is a Arizona vehicle and is sold with a California title (non op). Vehicle sold with all paperwork in order. I will store the car for up to 30 days at no charge. I do not have a reserve price but if you'd like to make an offer, please contact me. 805 208 3518. Please be reasonable. My terms of auction are simple: you win, you pay within 3 business days. I overnite by UPS or Fedex your title documents. I don't negotiate after the auction ends. I am glad to assist with shipping and loading the car for transport. Shipping is not included in this auction. The car doesn't leave my property until it is paid in full with cleared funds (that should take care of the African Money order/cashier check scam artists). Please review my feedback and note that I have been here on Ebay for many years. Thanks again.
