1951 Willys Station Wagon This is a 1951 Willys Overland Motors Jeep Station Wagon, with a 72 BHP, 134 cu. in. inline “ F” Head, four-cylinder engine, single-barrel Carter YF carburetor, three-speed manual Borg Warner T-96 transmission with overdrive, Planar front suspension with a transverse leaf spring, semi-floating Dana 44 rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulically-actuated drum brakes. The wheelbase is 104 inches. · Restored/re-plated bright work, period correct bias belted 3 inch White walls, Willys hub caps and trim rings, Willys steering wheel and working factory gauges highlight the straight solid body. The entire vehicle, inside and outside, was taken down to bare metal, prior to being painted. · The interior was restored with black vinyl upholstery, as well the door panels. The interior side panels, firewall, and ceiling were insulated prior to the upholstery work. The cargo area floor decking has new white oak strips. There is carpeting in the driver/passenger section, and a custom removable carpet mat in the rear. · There a new exhaust system, new rubber suspension bushings, anti-sway bar bushings, new fuel line, new brake system, overhauled rear end, new shock absorbers . There is evidence of the floor board being changed sometime in its’ life. The air conditioning condenser is located under the rear passenger seat area, with a down blowing fan. · The overhauled engine and transmission, sports a 65 Amp Alternator and Sanyo Air Conditioning Compressor. The A/C system controls are hidden inside of the glove box. Modifications: 1952 Tail Lights, Alternator with a new Electrical System Converted to 12 Volts, Old Air Products Air Conditioning System, AM/FM Stereo Radio with 4 Speakers, Halogen Headlamps, K&N Air Filter, Braille Fiber Carbon Battery, Electric Windshield Wiper Motor, Concealed Backup Electric Fuel Pump with a Large Fuel Filter, Turn Signals, and Light Gray Glass. Defects: A very small, and un-noticeable glass crack, approximately 1 inch long on Passenger side windshield, upper right.
