For sale is my fathers 1985 Mercedes 500SL. This is the european version of the car which was imported into the states some time before 1990, it was fully DOT prepared for sale in the US. This stunning SL is as tasteful and classic as any Mercedes SL. It will possibly make you feel like Brangolina, you never know.All joking aside, the european 500SL is prized by many as one of the most desirable SLs of the 107 body style. It has more power and to most eyes better looks that the US spec 560s. The car is original, unrestored and beautiful. It runs, drives and looks fantastic. The only major flaw the car has is a soft top that is less than perfect. It has a patch and one of the plastic windows has a crack. It has the matching hard top which is is perfect condition. This car has what I believe is all original paint, no rust or history of body work of any kind. Please see the pictures on Photobucket. This car has only had two owners since 1990, my father bought it in 1999. For the past 13 years it has been lovingly cared for and serviced, some would call it the typical garage queen as it was only driven 4000 miles during this time. Ebay can not show Euro VINs. The vin is WDB1070461A017328 I posted a video on youtube. The video is kind of boring but I think you get a good sense of the car. The car needs nothing and has always been professionally maintained. We have performed the following services in the past few years. Belts, Battery, Cooling and brake system flush, Plug wires, Transmission service, pan gasket, filter etc.Fuel pump, Water pump, Complete exhaust including cat, Pirrelli tiresValve cover gaskets, Idle Control valve/module I really can't stress enough how lovely this car is. It was my father's pride and joy. He probably washed and waxed it more than he drove it. It never saw rain. The car is located in Eliot Maine just a few miles from Portsmouth NH.
