Vehicle Detail
Read This Before Bidding Volvo's S80 is luxurious, roomy and safe. Its styling is representative of the new direction Volvo has taken away from the boxy designs of the past. Silky-smooth power is available from a pair of highly evolved six-cylinder engines, along with a choice of sophisticated stability and traction control systems. This Volvo S80 is in good, used condition. This car is my everyday vehicle and runs well. It is safe, clean, and road ready.I put a lot of work into this car in late 2009. The Volvo Dealership in Richmond performed the following work:New Spring SeatsNew Front Control Arm BushingsNew Stabilizer LinkNew Right Lower Engine MountNew Cooling SystemNew TIming Belt and TensionerNew Brake Pads and RotorsReplace O2 SensorsThis work is guaranteed by Volvo and I have the service record available for you.Tires are in great shape. They are fairly new and have a lot of miles left on them. The car is used and has interior and exterior wear consistent with a 2001 vehicle. These are the things that you should know:Mechanical:There is some brake noise. I had this looked at by the mechanic and was told that there is a small leak in the brake line. It is an optional repair, which I declined to do. Aside from some noise, I have not found it to impact driving the car.The windshield wipers seem loose. They extend a few inches further than expected when in use.Camshaft reset valve sets off the check engine light. This information came from the Volvo dealer. They quoted a replacement cost plus labor at $410.00. The dealer said it was optional and I declined the repair. I was given the following part number for the valve: 36002696Interior:Leather is peeling away from the center console.Driver floor mat is missing. The small console door sticks and can get off track.Cigarette lighter is missing.Exterior:Small, superficial scratches on trunk lid. Crack in plastic underneath bumper.I am not a mechanic, but I have disclosed issues that I have discovered on my own and been advised of by the dealer's mechanic. This is a good car that keep running with the right amount of TLC. Bid with confidence!
