Vehicle Detail

Hey Folks! Up for sale is an awesome, dry and solid 1964 Volks! I am relisting this as last month there was a scammer whom was a 'naval officer' at sea and the sale fell through for obvious reasons. She gave me the run around with send the cashiers check and wanted me to wire money, no dice, I think not lady. Please only be serious inquirers and no 'dreamers' or 'tire kickers'. That being said here is a little synopsis on the bus. . . . . I own a small VW resotration business up here in Montana and am selling a few from my back lot in order to fund a trip to Europe this winter. I had bought this bus in hopes to restore it for myself as it was extremely dry and clean. I currently drive a 1970 Westfalia and recently found my dream 66 westy so this one has taken the back burner. I bought the bus from the custodian from my grade school; it was his fathers that he purchased from a California dealership back in 1969 and as far as I know have spent its entire life here in glorious Montana. It was last registered in 2005. It is 95% complete, sans the front and back bumpers which can be purchased on Mid-America Motorworks for a few hundred a piece. The back seat is also missing, but there are schematics on thesamba.com to weld your own should you wish to not try and find one on the internet. Everything mechanical is there and complete, but will need a little work to get back up to daily driver condition. This bus is really the perfect candidate for a complete restoration as a little TLC and paint will bring her right back to life as she deserves. All the glass is there, the interior panels, and lights are there. This is one of the driest splities I have ever seen personally. The rockers, the battery tray, the floorboards, et cetera are all solid and will not need patching. There are a few surface spots on the roof and the side, double doors. The pictures will show this well and I think are quite representative of the buses overall condition. Basically this is a perfect platform to customize and restore to your liking. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask. Take care and stay loose! Ciao, Taylor M.
