Nice 1956 Pontiac chieftain 870 wagon. I bought this car last fall and worked on it all winter.The former owner did a lot of quality work on it before I got it. The wagon is a Western car and attended the 60th Bonneville Aniversery and Billet proof and has been pictured in seveal mags. The reason i'm selling is because my son has been accepted to The Berklee College of Music and we need the money for tuition bills. I havn't even had the chance to get it on the road. The following is a list of everything that we have done to the car: New exterior sun visor, rechromed tail light housings,rear bumper ends horn ring and center grill bar. New side mirrows, NOS dash clock, 2-speed electeric wipper convertion, restored 55 lighted hood orniment, new aluminized exhaust with Maga Flow polished mufflers, American salt flat wheels with new Goodrich Silvertown whitwalls, replaced the left hand studs with right hand, replaced rear seals, new yoke and pinion seal, new rear brakes, rebuilt front end with Kanter Master Kit, master cylinder resleeved and rebuilt, front brakes redone, new motor mounts, belts, raditor hoses, Walker radiator, brake hoses, gas tank boiled and lined, new sending unite, rebuilt fuel pump and carb. new battery, leads, distrbuter cap, rotor, wires, plugs, new altinater convertion. Added a CD/IPOD player in new glove box, new Mooneye gauges-oil,temp,volt. Origanal gas gauge and speedo work. Tinted glass, weather stripping is all excellnt, vary nice 59 Pontiac streeing wheel, spear tire is new and lake pipes are funtional. Car also comes with a disc brake convertion although present brakes work great. THE CAR NEEDS THE FOLLOWING: Front end alligned, trans pan gasket which comes with the car, paint if you wish, seat covers and two of the door panels are frayed at the bottoms. The car is 60 plus years old and has some dings and scapes as I have pictured. This is a SOILD car with no rattles no rust through only surface rust were paint was chipped and I have removed most of it. Please look at photos carfully before bidding.
