Vehicle Detail
I have less storage space than project cars so I am going to try to sell this car. It is a 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 2 door hardtop. The car is a project car and will need a complete restoration. It has not been registered or on the road since the mid 80's. The car is factory F3 light green metallic and the passenger side still shows alot of the original paint. Someone has decided in time to spray gray primer and several other different colors on the car through the years. The car is overall solid, as it was inside a basement for several years before I bought it. The last owner had pulled it outside and tarped it so he could put his boat in his basement. Some neighborhood children busted out the back glass, so I had that replaced and I have a few pictures of the rust around the channel when it was out. The car was bought new at Music City Dodge in Nashville, Tennessee and as far as I know has always been here. The car has had its share of dents and dings over the years. The two worst are to the RH passenger side door, and the front of the LH drivers fender. I would hate not to try to repair both panels because they are very clean of rust. The rust issues on the car that require replacement are the center trunk floor and the taillamp panel. The inside edge of the trunk lid has some rust and will require patching or possible replacement. some places around the back glass will also need to be patched due to the vinyl roof that was on factory. A small amount of rust on the RH lower quarter panel will also need a patch. The frame rails, floor pans, and under the hood appear straight and rust free. I did notice that the RH front spring hanger mount looks to have been hung at some point. It is pictured and will need replaced or repaired. The hood, fenders, doors, and the majority of the quarter panels are rust free. The pans do have some surface rust on them as does some other places on the car. I basically bought the car as you see it for a future project like an A12 clone, but I have too many and not enough room to keep them in the dry. There are several parts in the trunk of the car such as some extra glass, trim, the grille and headlamp bezels, the tailamp panel, the rear seat back, and other misc. parts. The car was originally a 318/904 auto car, but now has a 1971 castcrank 383/727 in it, but still has the original small block 8 1/4 rear axle . I have had the engine running, but it will not drive as the master cylinder is missing along with the radiator. The car has a nice dash, dash pad, and a nice bench seat. The car does have its original fender tag in place along with a clear Tennessee title in my name. The fender tag reads M21 M31 M33 R11 V1F 26 A01 A39 C33 H51 J25 L31 F3 F3 H2G 616 486031 E44 D31 WH23 F9G 290604. This is an overall good project for someone and is not a rust bucket. Car will roll and tires will hold air for transportation. Please ask any and all questions before you bid and before auction ends. Also please only bid if you are serious about purchasing the car. All shipping is the responsiblity of the buyer. The car is sold "as is where is how is". This is a 43 year old car that needs to be restored. A $250.00 non refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end, and the rest can be paid cash when picked up other prearranged method. Please use the pictures provided to also help aid you in the description of the car. Thank you for looking and best of luck! Here is a photobucket link with 122 pictures to also help out with the description of the car. http://s298.photobucket.com/albums/mm263/mattsmopars/1969%20dodge%20coronet/ Please click the link or copy and paste it to see more photos of the car. Some pictures of the floor and trunk pans are wet due to trying to pressure wash all of the primer and crappy paint off of the car and door jambs.
