Up for auction is this 1969 Pontiac Lemans (GTO clone). The baby has a 375hp Pontiac 400 big block v8 engine backed by a 4 spped manual tranny, the engine is freshly rebuilt only about 300 miles on the rebuild. The tranny is a T-10. This car runs and drives perfect. Needs abslutely nothing mechanically. The brakes are all new with new wheel cylinders and shoes on all four wheels. This car has four wheel drum brakes. The body of this car is all solid. There is no rust any where. A very solid body that doesn't need much work to be ready for paint. What you see in the pictures is a sealer. This car was stripped to the bare metal by the previous owner and then painted with this sealer to protect the metal. This can be sanded and primered right over top of. This car needs very little work to be ready for paint. An excellent body. Good trunk pan, floors are solid, not rust anywhere. This car was a vynl top car, so you can see where the top stopped there has been a little filler put in. Mechanically this car needs nothing. Very depedable car. Drive it while you restore it. Doesnt get any better than that. This car has a 2:93 gear ratio with an open axle. This is the only thing I would change. It needs a little higher gear to really open up that big block. And a Posi unit is a must. The interior is in pretty bad shape. It need a new headliner and back dash panel. The front seats need recovered but he back seat is in good shape. The dash pad is cracked but all of this is very easily fixed. The heavy lifting is already done on this hotrod. This is a good one guys. Dont let it get away. Thanks for looking.
