Vehicle Detail

1966 ford mustang coupe notes about the car Title is clean Millage is unknown since its not the original engine. doors are off a 65 not a 66 modified 302 (previous owner took a 302 block and put the original 289 heads on it. works great and gives you more compression for power) brand new holly 2 barral carburater an original mustang tranny ( i was told the slang term is a green dot) new wiring from american auto wire (needs to be finished but its 85% installed and all there, just needs to be finished) original seats that still offer good support, To reinerate all but the doors are original for the outside body, All the glass is there No major rust issues, 2 of the bolt holes in the trunk as seen in the pictures are rusted out. one panal is included if you want to cut it all out to replace on one side, the other side needs to either be patched or another panal put in. minor surface rust on the rest of the body underneath the carriage and small amount on the dash with is seen in the pictures. Again its not rusted through and can be cleaned up easily. tires have original mustang hub caps, although 2 of the middle symbols need to be replaced licence plates were restored, there is a small chip on one on the yellow 7 that needs to be touched up brand new aftermarket radio installed with new speakers on the back, also 2 door speakers are included that are brand new. there is also a speaker backplate i purchased as well for both of them. I was told you put it in the back of the door speaker to keep the sound from exiting the vehicle and its supposed to make the sound louder. Look closely at all the parts, everything you need to finish getting it running are there (exception is the serpentine belt. I couldnt find it, I may grab one and throw it in at the local auto store, there only 15 bucks). The A/C module is included and it came off a 68 fastback and will fit the coupe, you need the rest of the components (condensor and such) but the main part is there dual exhaust Service manual is included and the original wirring diagram for a 66 coupe is there as well. this should help when finishing the wirring original dash and guages (all work) Halogen headlights were installed battery is there and was new when bought but has been sitting for about a year. It should work if you charge it. When I moved I had to get it towed so I was in a rush and never finished intstalling the tranny and engine so before you start it make sure to check all connections. It will roll fine to put in a flat bed to tow. I researched the Vin and it came from the plant in san diego california and that makes this a C class i believe. there is a C in the vin number R in FORD on the hood is missing, one lens from the lower rear blinker is missing but the light is there, I am including the license plate frames but honestly they are on there last leg and should be replaced Please note one picture shows the wirring from the speaker on the door frame. the mustang floor cover that goes over it is included and should be in one of the pictures, it just needs to be screwed back in. Most if not all the original nuts and bolts are there either in the trunk, glove box, or in the cab. steering wheel is there and the cover is included and should be visable in one of the pictures, same goes for the handle for the transmission. So to summarize this was a great car. I personally got to drive it before I started the restore and can attest to the motor and tranny working flawlesly, Unfortuantly wife got pregnant with my 3 kids over the last 6 years and I just havnt had the time or resources to finish it so I am selling it. I will have this listed on other sites and reserve the right to cancel this auction at anytime You have to arrange towing. $500 dollar deposit is due withen 24 hrs of auction ending and rest is due withen 7 days. I will be as flexible as I can to meet with whoever is towing this but I need plenty of notice to allow me to miss work if need be. Please feel free to contact me with questions. Im not an official gear head so please dumb the questions down lol. Thank you for looking. I made a youtube video of the car as well (it takes a few hours for it to post officialy on the site so if you click and it isnt there just try again later. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nhHBtLzOnI&feature=share (the video was loaded at noon and as of 7pm pacific time isnt showing yet.
