This is an extremely well built 1987 Mercedes 300tdt turbo diesel wagon. From the beginning these cars were known to be extremely durable, reliable and economical. This is the best diesel engine Mercedes every used, it is bullet poof. After Mercedes added the turbo-charger to the wagons in 1981, they also had plenty of power and were much more fun to drive. Still today they have a reputation to last for many hundreds of thousands of miles , if they are taken care off properly . This wagon I have for sale is in extremely nice condition. The interior is midnight blue. The contrast of the blue interior and white exterior makes for a very elegant color combination. The body and the paint are in very nice condition, as the many pictures will show. The interior is also very clean. The seats are in very good condition and they are still firm. The carpets are good and even the original dashboard is still in nice condition with just two small cracks. The wood pieces including the center console look good. It is really nice car all around and it gets a lot of compliments every time we go to the grocery store or out for a Sunday drive. Please check out all the pictures I uploaded . They can tell the story better than I can . The best thing about this old Mercedes wagon is the way it drives. It has always been maintained well and it shows. The car is garage kept. It always starts up right away . There are no oil leaks . The transmission shifts smooth through all the gears. It is truly a pleasure to drive. You can comfortably cruise at 75 mph while still getting great fuel mileage. This engine is also a perfect candidate for bio diesel conversion. This way you could drive it on vegetable oil or even free waste oil from restaurants. I have never tried it myself, but with gasoline at almost $5,- a gallon it sounds like a great idea. This car would also make sense for a car collector. You just do not see to many of these cars in this kind of condition anymore. This is a wonderful old car and it will be sold " as is " , " where is " and without a warranty. I would prefer to sell it to somebody local, who could actually come out and see it / test-drive it. You should not be disappointed. I would also be helpful with shipping arrangements or a airport pick up for out of town buyers. All shipping fees would have to be paid by the winning bidder.
