Vehicle Detail
NEW LOWER RESERVE PRICE Was so close to the reserve so I dropped the reserve a little and relisting. This car needs a new home and someone that will enjoy it as the driving season is here. The good stuff This '79 B has been converted to chrome bumper and a 2.8, v6 rebuilt engine has been placed. It has a Holly 350cfm carb. The transmission is a t5, 5 speed from a Camaro. New HTOP in last 3000 miles. Datsun 280Z wheels with Kumho P250/60R14 tires gives lots of rubber on the road. The spare is a "doughnut" spare from a 2000 Nissan. The original spare and wheel come with the car. It has cruise control and upgraded relay for halogen lamps. New master brake cylinder and booster in the last 5000 miles. Air horns allows you to be heard and not just seen. Wind screen and tonneau make for a comfortable ride. The tonneau has some weak spots along the zippers. The hood (top) has been replaced and keeps out most of the water in the rain...it is an MG so you have to have some leakage. It has the Moss tube shock conversion on the front and air shocks from a '63 corvette on the rear. I have modified the cross member and manufactured a removal piece that allows removal of the transmission without pulling the motor. This car can get up and go with the rest of them on the highway. It has an after market radio with AUX and CD. The sound of the engine is music to my ears so I very seldom listen to radio. This car also has an electrical shutoff mounted behind the passenger seat. This serves 2 purposes: theft deterrent and keeps Lucas honest. This car gets the looks you want and deserve but it also gives you the pep to really impress those Triumph owners. Wood grain on dash and console to match upgraded steering wheel. 22,095 miles have been placed after the engine rebuild. Radiator modified so as to make it easier to check, add, or flush. The bad stuff: small oil drips noted in garage after a drivefew drops also from transmission after I had it rebuilt 3000 miles ago. To me it is not worth pulling tranny for these few drips. I have not had to replace any fluid so I wonder if I overfilled?Quarter size "rust" bubble in front of right rear tire.Tonneau seen better days but still functional THIS CAR IS RED. IT IS NOT ORANGE. IT IS A "TOMATO RED" AS MY WIFE CALLS IT. THE SUNLIGHT HAS DISTORTED THE PHOTO. I CAN PROVIDE MORE PHOTOS IF INTERESTED
