I bought the truck in 2005 for $4200 and over the next 3 years I put at least $8500 into it (I have receipts). The problem is that I just don't drive it enough (1000 miles in 4 years), especially when I can drive the company truck for free. It has 158000 original miles and I'm the 3rd owner. The following is a list of the new and rebuilt parts, every part is either a Toyota part or a quality aftermarket part (no cheap reproduction parts) tailights,side markers,turn signals,headlights & buckets, all weatherstripping,tailgate with chains and latches,grille and headlight trim, door handles & all cylinders, antenna, windshield, tint on back & side glass, front & rear brakes, master cylinder, calipers & wheel cylinders wheel & axel bearings & seals, Bilstien shocks,stabilizer shock, tie rod & ends, muffler, converter, exhaust tube, radiator, water pump, all hoses, alternator, regulator, smog pump, carb, misc gaskets & seals, door panels with trim, visors, kick panels, turn signal & wiper switches, upgraded dash and gauge pod (from ebay, needs senders) floor vinyl with insulation, spray on bed liner, undercoating, paint, stainless steel nuts, bolts & washers all over the place, new BFG tires, 5-2005 Toyota wheels. The motor runs excellent with no problems, had a valve job & new clutch right before I got it. There are only 2 mechanical problems that I know of, the truck has air conditioning that works really good, but the compressor leaks and needs new seals, also the odometer is stuck, I fixed it awile back but I noticed it has stopped again ( I think it might be because I don't drive the truck enough ? ) The paint is very good and there is no bondo that I know of, but it does have a few small rust spots. If you know these trucks then you know about the constant battle against rust due to bad design. All in all I don't think you will find too many of these in better condition, I know when I found this truck it was way better than anything I had seen in a year of looking.
