Here is a wonderful factory built Fiberfab 1929 Mercedes-Benz SSK replica. This car was built in-house by Fiberfab using a 1970 VW Beetle floorpan and driveline. It is in VERY nice condition and starts runs and drives excellent. An easy, fun and peppy car to drive. This isn't a cheap-o kit that was put together in someones garage...this is as close to the real deal as you will find. The -paint-, chrome, interior ect. are all original to the car and never altered in any way whatsoever. I really like the VW engine SSK over the Ford Pinto, Chevy Chevette etc. powered versions with the engines up front. Besides the German car German engine feel, with the engine in back it leaves alot of storage room under the bonnett (hood) and there is no cooling system to fail... with the VW being air cooled there is no water pump, no radiators, no hoses, no anti-freeze, no cooling fans etc. really alot less to go wrong, and with the engine in back it really swooshes thru the S curves like a slot car. Another neat feature is to fill it with gas you unscrew the hood orniment, the -radiator- is actually the gas tank! Very cool. This is one of, if not thee best example of one of these cars out there.. anywhere. If you have any questions I will be glad to help.
