You are looking at a 2000 Mercedes S500. I purchased the vehicle privately from a lady in my town that left the car in a local harrisburg pa parking lot, when the parking lot flooded. She had to have the vehicle towed from the parking lot where it sat and acrued storage. She did not have full coverage insurance, and did not have to money to pay for repairs or storage. I purchased it to repair and resell, but I simply have TOO MANY projects and am selling this vehicle as is! The vehicle is fairly clean for the year, The interior is very clean although has just a little musty smell, i am assuming from the wet carpet. Probably will go away is buyer leaves the doors open on a couple warm days. Unfortunately, if I do that in the city, someone will steal the car! Sold as-is, not running. There is NO water in the engine or transmission, or axel. When key is in the ignition, everything turns on although the starter does not spin. Mechanic manually turned engine to confirm it was ok, and sair the starter selenoid needs replaced because it is not working from being under water. Selenoid is part of starter so entire starter unit will need replaced. New from dealer is over $800. Used from car-part.com under $200. Buyer needs to understand that as with any flood car, any electrical connection that gets wet must be properly cleaned otherwise it will corrode in the future! I cannot guarantee that the starter is the ONLY thing buyer will need to repair. Vehicle has CLEAN TITLE.
