Bidding on a 1984 RX7 GSL-SE. Car is stock and runs well. 6 Port stock 13B engine & 5 speed transmission. Smokes after it is first started up a few minutes it is clear. Not sure if some oil is getting past a seal and when it warms up its gone or what. Does not affect the driveability or perfomance of the car though. Cas runs strong and holds a nice 900RPM at idle. No surging. I am selling the car because I have too many RX7's and need to thin the herd a little. Car is my daily driver. Everything works except dome light (map lights work). AC is all there but does not have a charge because it had been disconnected at one time by previous owner. Original interior nice and complete. Seats good. Car still retains its factory stereo setup but has some crackle with the on/off knob. Car has the optional and rare speed sensing power steering option. Car does not have rear cargo area floor carpet. Does include stowage bins, they were removed for photo's. No headers or any aftermarket performance parts. Power windows work. Included wit car is a rare glass moonroof (no bag though). I do not have the metal roof for the car only glass roof. Car does have some rust issues. They are the typcial bin rust on both sides. The rust on the passenger side has now extended to a crack (see photo) and as loosened the upper control rod mount. There is also rust on the lower quarter panels behind rear wheels. R. Side is the worst and extends to rear panel behind license plate. I do have a rust free replacement for all of this R. side rust and rear panel - that I cut off another car that will be included with purchase of car. Front drivers fender has some surface rust where paint peeled away. I have treated it with rust preventive paint (see photo). Previous owner began to sand the car. That is why the rear is in primer. Doors and front clip are solid. all glass good.Floors solid. I took the carpet out and cleaned and inspected the floors. Car has potential for restoration given how the SE's are rapidly appreciating in value or it can be used as a daily driver or for a parts car for another RX-7 project. Car can be driven anywhere I would say, as I have been driving it for several months with no issues. I spent a lot of time tracking down/fixing small issues to make it a reliable daily driver. Brakes good. Tires are good (2 different matched pairs). Lights and everything work. Exhaust good. Really the only thing missing is the cargo area carpet. Transmission shifts w/o any problems. Engine starts within a second or two. Runs cool. Good oil pressure. All guages work. Please ask your questions before you bid and not after you win the car.
