Vehicle Detail

Thank you for your interest in my 1978 Scout II. This is a beautiful scout that has undergone a full frame on body restoration. Rockers, cab mounts, etc were all restored back to original factory specs. Its got the 345 w/torqueflight 727 transmission. Automatic that shifts very smooth. 4x4 works great.. Warn manual locking hubs.. The engine was removed and every gasket and every seal were replaced. Valve cover, oil pan, intake, rear main etc.... The scout has a 4 inch suspension lift (superlift) with a 1 inch body lift. 33x12.50x15 inch BFG All Terrain tires with plenty of tread. Carburetor was rebuilt and has a completely rebuilt power steering box. It has dual magnaflow exhaust that sounds good. It also has a cam in it but I am unsure of what kind. It was already in when I purchased it. It sounds very good and hits a lick when at idle. The Scout runs and drives great.!! I drive on the expressway at 60-65 mph with no problems. I usually run 60 which actually registers around 50 because of the oversized tires. The interior of the scout is immaculate. The seats are all original and are in great shape. No rips or tears and all seat belts are there front and back. The dash area has no cracks and all of the gauges and lights work properly except the clock. The carpet is brand new and the cargo area has been sealed with textured heavy duty bed liner. Everything is original on the interior except the CD player and the headliner is out of a 1980. I could not find the different style headliner. The exterior was painted back the original color dark brown metallic with tan top. I went with the paint codes from 1978 to match up the colors correctly. PPG base coat with 3 coats of clear. This is one of the nicest scouts you will find and I know this because I look at and for them all of the time. Please shoot me an email if you have any questions or if you would like more information or pictures. Thanks
