For Sale by Second Owner - 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM - 4,436 fully documented actual miles since new - Never restored - No modifications ever made - 65% original paint - Original tires just replaced with 225/70R15WL Radial BF Goodrich tires - The 4 original 225/70R15WL GoodYear PolySteel Belted Radial tires are included with the sale and show very little wear but are flat spotted from extended storage - Exterior and interior are in absolutely beautiful condition. The car was purchased new at Vince Paterno Pontiac GMC Inc. in Charleston, WV on 10-13-1979. I am the second owner of the car and purchased it directly from the first owner. The car was last safety inspected in June of 1990 and had 4,306 miles on it at that time. It has been perfectly maintained and properly stored indoors since purchased new from the Pontiac dealership. The car runs and performs as new. It handles perfectly, runs smooth and strong, brakes perfectly with no issues of any kind. I would not be concerned to drive the car any distance. The car is fully documented with complete record of ownership and mileage, build sheet, window sticker, copy of original owners title, mileage statements, factory issued warranty and owners manuals, etc. I also have the full PHS Documentation which will also be given the new owner. I will issue a signed and notarized mileage statement in the new purchasers name documenting the mileage to be actual. I took it to the near by Cadillac Buick Dealer and they checked it and said the freon was low but since it is still the original R-12 system that they can not recharge it. I'm not sure what the availability of R-12 is but I wanted to make sure that I disclosed this before the auction ended.
