My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. I buy fresh trades from larger dealerships and resell them directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of buying a vehicle. Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being offered for sale so I can tell you first hand how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am basically a wholesaler, not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my ability. Please take the time to read this entire description, read my terms & conditions and examine each of the photos before bidding or asking questions. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is one of my favorite vehicles ever. In my opinion, the W140 Mercedes-Benz represents the pinnacle of the Mercedes brand. This chassis is the last of an era when a Mercedes-Benz was a Mercedes...not a Chrysler. If you've driven a newer S-Class and a W140, you know exactly what I'm talking about. These cars were built to a standard, not a price. I have owned more of these cars than I can count between ones I've owned personally and ones purchased for resale. If I had to pick one car, it would probably be a W140 Mercedes-Benz. I would rate the exterior condition of this Mercedes S320 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking car. The bright silver finish has a nice gloss and is very appealing. As with any used car, there is a certain element of wear to be expected from daily use. On this specific example, there is a noticable scratch on the left rear quarter panel as well as some smaller marks on the bumpers from normal use. Additionally, the front right marker light will need replaced as the lens is cracked. There is minor fade on the bumpers, which is common for 140 cars, as well as a blemish on the rear of the roof which is hard to see in the photographs. All of the glass appears to be intact. The alloy wheels look good and are wrapped in nice rubber all around. The power antenna still works properly. The vacuum assisted doors and truck all close properly. This is a great looking Mercedes-Benz. I would rate the interior of this Mercedes-Benz to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you open the drivers door, you are greeted by a graciously appointed interior. The black leather is in excellent condition throughout and is accented by dark wood veneer and chrome trim, all in excellent condition also. The door panels are all clean and tight. The carpets show very well throughout the interior of this Mercedes-Benz. The headliner is clean and tight. As previously mentioned, the wood veneers show well throughout the interior. The leather seats appear to have been well taken care of and also show very well. The original first aid kit is still in place. The original owners books are also included. The trunk is spacious and clean. Once seated, the vacuum sealed doors and double gasket windows isolate the interior from the outside world. This is roughly the point where you begin to realize how superior a Mercedes-Benz is...should this be your first S-Class. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof are all working properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger. It is working properly and the air conditioning blows ice cold air. The stereo system is the original Mercedes/Bose system which sounds great and does NOT suffer from the common volume knob issue. Both front seats are power operated and heated. This car will come with the original remote key fob which actually works! Mechanically, this Mercedes-Benz appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.2L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. This engine has been a staple in the Mercedes family for years and has been used in nearly every vehicle made in the 90's and early 2000's. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. I have personally put over 100 miles on this beauty and she drives just like an S320 should. The engine makes great power and runs great. It keeps perfect temperature and perfect oil pressure which is very, very important. The five speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. In fact, this two and a half ton Mercedes-Benz has a slightly faster 0-60 time than a similar year Porsche Boxster! I've owned both and can personally attest to this. There are a few lights on in the dash, which any Mercedes owner should be used to. The BAS/ASR and ABS lights are on. This is typically caused by an error in a little box above the brake pedal which costs roughly $200 to replace. It can also be caused by low voltage...these cars are very touchy with voltage so not being driven regularly can mess with things. Also, the airbag light stays on. This could also be caused by low voltage. The suspension feels very tight, which is very important. The steering is neutral and light. The brakes feel solid and bring this sedan to a stop with no complaints. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and smooth. For having a small engine, these cars love to run fast. One has to concentrate to keeps speeds below 90mph on the highway. I would drive this Mercedes cross country without a second thought. With proper service, this car can literally last a lifetime. Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being offered for sale so I can tell you first hand how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am basically a wholesaler, not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my ability. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is one of my favorite vehicles ever. In my opinion, the W140 Mercedes-Benz represents the pinnacle of the Mercedes brand. This chassis is the last of an era when a Mercedes-Benz was a Mercedes...not a Chrysler. If you've driven a newer S-Class and a W140, you know exactly what I'm talking about. These cars were built to a standard, not a price. I have owned more of these cars than I can count between ones I've owned personally and ones purchased for resale. If I had to pick one car, it would probably be a W140 Mercedes-Benz.
I would rate the exterior condition of this Mercedes S320 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking car. The bright silver finish has a nice gloss and is very appealing. As with any used car, there is a certain element of wear to be expected from daily use. On this specific example, there is a noticable scratch on the left rear quarter panel as well as some smaller marks on the bumpers from normal use. Additionally, the front right marker light will need replaced as the lens is cracked. There is minor fade on the bumpers, which is common for 140 cars, as well as a blemish on the rear of the roof which is hard to see in the photographs. All of the glass appears to be intact. The alloy wheels look good and are wrapped in nice rubber all around. The power antenna still works properly. The vacuum assisted doors and truck all close properly. This is a great looking Mercedes-Benz.
I would rate the interior of this Mercedes-Benz to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you open the drivers door, you are greeted by a graciously appointed interior. The black leather is in excellent condition throughout and is accented by dark wood veneer and chrome trim, all in excellent condition also. The door panels are all clean and tight. The carpets show very well throughout the interior of this Mercedes-Benz. The headliner is clean and tight. As previously mentioned, the wood veneers show well throughout the interior. The leather seats appear to have been well taken care of and also show very well. The original first aid kit is still in place. The original owners books are also included. The trunk is spacious and clean. Once seated, the vacuum sealed doors and double gasket windows isolate the interior from the outside world. This is roughly the point where you begin to realize how superior a Mercedes-Benz is...should this be your first S-Class. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof are all working properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger. It is working properly and the air conditioning blows ice cold air. The stereo system is the original Mercedes/Bose system which sounds great and does NOT suffer from the common volume knob issue. Both front seats are power operated and heated. This car will come with the original remote key fob which actually works!
Mechanically, this Mercedes-Benz appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.2L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. This engine has been a staple in the Mercedes family for years and has been used in nearly every vehicle made in the 90's and early 2000's. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. I have personally put over 100 miles on this beauty and she drives just like an S320 should. The engine makes great power and runs great. It keeps perfect temperature and perfect oil pressure which is very, very important. The five speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. In fact, this two and a half ton Mercedes-Benz has a slightly faster 0-60 time than a similar year Porsche Boxster! I've owned both and can personally attest to this. There are a few lights on in the dash, which any Mercedes owner should be used to. The BAS/ASR and ABS lights are on. This is typically caused by an error in a little box above the brake pedal which costs roughly $200 to replace. It can also be caused by low voltage...these cars are very touchy with voltage so not being driven regularly can mess with things. Also, the airbag light stays on. This could also be caused by low voltage. The suspension feels very tight, which is very important. The steering is neutral and light. The brakes feel solid and bring this sedan to a stop with no complaints. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and smooth. For having a small engine, these cars love to run fast. One has to concentrate to keeps speeds below 90mph on the highway. I would drive this Mercedes cross country without a second thought. With proper service, this car can literally last a lifetime. Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
