Each vehicle I sell is thoroughly road tested before being offered for sale so I can tell you first hand how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am basically a wholesaler, not a mechanic. Each vehicle I sell is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1997 Toyota Celica GT Anniversary Edition convertible. With a production spanning seven generations and over a quarter century, the Celica is one of the longest running sports cars ever made. I would rate the exterior condition of this Celica GT to be in BELOW AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The dark green finish isn't bad overall but there are several noteworthy flaws on the body of this car. On the rear bumper there are a few spots where paint is chipping from minor bumps. There is a noticable dent at the front of the right fender at the headlight. Rust is minor on this Celica but can be seen at a few spots in the door jam and along the bottom of the fenders. The top doesn't look the best either. The stitching at the window is loose at some spots but is only cosmetic at this point. There was a slice in the top when this vehicle came to me. I had it patched and sealed. The repair is obvious but functional. I did not want to have to pass on the expense of a new top to the next owner as there are only cosmetic issues with it. Aside from not being pretty, the top does what it should and works properly. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels show age and are wrapped in average rubber all around. Overall, this is a good ten footer. If you're looking for a fun and reliable convertible, look no further. Just don't expect to take home any trophies from the Celica show... I would rate the interior of this Celica GT Anniversary Edition to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. The door panels are clean and tight. The drivers floor mat shows some wear but the carpets are not worn...just a few stains. There is some typical wear on the outside bolster of the drivers seat. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable these seats are. The leather is still soft and very supple which is unusual for a convertible. The inside lining to the top is in great condition. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The left rear window needs some help staying on its track but is working. The power top works properly. The air conditioning does blow cold...but is not freezing. The stereo is the original Toyota am/fm with cassette and CD which sounds good. The original owners manual is included as well as a glove box full of receipts which I don't have time to go through. The only other strange thing is that I cannot get the trunk to open. I have never had a Celica of this generation before. Maybe I'm doing something wrong...but I cannot open the trunk. Mechanically, this Toyota Celica GT appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.2L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. This is a very easy car to drive. The engine makes good power and has been a staple in the Toyota family for over a decade. The suspension feels good. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes do a good job at stopping this Celica. Out on the road, it cruises nice and strait with no complaints. I have personally driven this Celica in excess of 200 miles without a single complaint. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes are smooth through the manual transmission. The engine keeps a cool temperature and there have been no warning lights on. Driving with the top down is a true test of how well a convertible is designed...and these are great. Wind is minimal and visibility is good for a convertible. I have never had a Celica of this generation before. Maybe I'm doing something wrong...but I cannot open the trunk.
Mechanically, this Toyota Celica GT appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.2L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. This is a very easy car to drive. The engine makes good power and has been a staple in the Toyota family for over a decade. The suspension feels good. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes do a good job at stopping this Celica. Out on the road, it cruises nice and strait with no complaints. I have personally driven this Celica in excess of 200 miles without a single complaint. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes are smooth through the manual transmission. The engine keeps a cool temperature and there have been no warning lights on. Driving with the top down is a true test of how well a convertible is designed...and these are great. Wind is minimal and visibility is good for a convertible. Vehicle Pick-up:
Arrangements must be made in advance to pick up a vehicle. We do not have regular hours, we operate by-appointment. We are very flexible and accomidating with days and times to pick-up, but must have advance notice or there is a very real possibility you may show up and no one is here.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Bid Retractions/Changes:
I take selling vehicles on eBay very seriously. In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This descision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time while the auction is live or after the auction closes regardless of any circumstance. Additionally, any member who changes or withdraws a bid may be permanently barred from bidding on future auctions.
The seller may, at its sole discretion and for any reason deemed appropriate, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on current and future auctions.
