Vehicle Detail

Up for consideration is this 1964 Ford Fairlane four door. This is a base model car. It has a 260 cubic inch Ford V/8 that runs very well. Walker dyna flow mufflers make this car sound great. It has the original three speed manual transmission that shifts well. The original column shifter is tight with no slack. The car was painted around 3 to 3 ½ years ago and as you can see it is an ANTIQUE Alabama State Trooper Car (CLONE). THIS CAR AT NO TIME HAS EVER BEEN OWNED OR USED BY THE ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY. THE CAR IS A NOVELTY CAR. The lights ARE VINTAGE ANTIQUE LIGHTS THAT ARE COSMETIC ONLY. THE LIGHTS WILL BE COVERED FOR TRANSIT. THE COVERS WILL STAY WITH THE VEHICLE. IT HAS AN ANTIQUE WIND-UP SIREN THAT IS FOR COSMETICS ONLY. The ANTIQUE police radio does not work and is just for looks. IF THE RADIO DID WORK, THE CHANNELS THAT IS IN THE RADIO ARE OBSOLETE AND UNUSABLE. THE DECALS ARE ANTIQUE DECAL REPLICAS THAT ARE NO LONGER USED. THE DECALS ON THE CAR DO NOT LOOK LIKE THE DECALS USED ON MODERN ALABAMA STATE TROOPER CARS. THEY ARE DIFFERENT. THESE DECALS WILL BE COVERED FOR TRANSIT. THE CAR COMES WITH MAGNETIC DECALS THAT STATE “NOT IN SERVICE” THAT COVER THE DECALS. THESE ARE TO BE USED WHENEVER THE CAR IS IN TRANSPORT. The interior has new carpet and upholstery. These are the items that have been replaced: Clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing, starter, alternator, carb rebuilt, radiator rodded and flushed, water pump, all brakes, universal joints, FUEL TANK HAS BEEN COATED INSIDE AND OUT, THE VALVE SEALS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ALONG WITH SEVERAL GASKETS, THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED, AND IT HAS A NEW FUEL SENDING UNIT. THERE IS ALSO OIL, TEMPURATURE, AND VOLTAGE GAUGES INSTALLED AND THEY WORK. It has four new shocks, the rear ones are a coil-over type. This car is a two owner car and I am the second owner. The car was put out of service in 1985 after the original owner passed away. I bought the car in 2004; the car was still in the original owners shed where she parked it. I bought it from her son. I made the car into antique police car clone. It was used for our 75th anniversary celebration as a display. The miles shown are believed to be original; however it is believed that the odometer has rolled over only once. The shift linkage is just too nice and smooth and the engine shows very little signs of wear. I do have documentation showing that this car is a clone and at no time was owned by the State of Alabama, and was used as a display. This car is ready to go. Drive anywhere. The reserve is low and reasonable. Feel free to contact seller with any questions.
