1941 DeSoto Custom. I am told that this car is the rare Town Sedan model having fewer than 5,000 produced. The interior on this car is original and in amazing shape for it's age. I believe steam cleaning would do wonders on it. There are no holes or tears in the upholstery that I have noticed. It is by far the nicest part of the car. The engine is the original inline 6 flat head. The car has NOT ran for about 5 years, when it did it was on a bottle as the fuel line has rotted away. I have recently tried to get it started with only a few pops. The engine does turn over but the spark is weak. I do not have the time to get it running otherwise I would. As for the body it has a lot of surface rust on the roof and the usual rust spots here and there. The floor pan is pretty well shot in the front and will need to be replaced. Also the trunk pan has a few bad areas as well, mostly in the spare tire well. Of course the chrome is shot but most of the stainless bright work is still there. This car has the "Clunk -O- Matic" transmission. It is a manual but it can be driven as an automatic. I cannot comment on the drive-ability of this car as I have never really driven it other than in the garage where it has set for about 5 years now. I do have a clear title. I would like to keep this thing and get it running again but I just simply don"t have the time for it and I don't have the heart to part it out or junk it.
