This is a very complete 57 retract. It does have some rust in various areas but is very restorable. I don't know anything about the engine except is does have the wrong 4 barrel intake and carb. All the steering linkage underneath is for non power steering but the engine has all the brackets and the crank pulley on it so my assumption is the engine is not original to the car but is complete and fully bolted in place and looks like it's been that way for a long time. I have not had it running so it would be wise to assume it needs a full rebuild. Virtually all the trim is intact and only a few pieces have small dings. This car is from Colorado and all the chrome is in VERY good condition with little to no pitting. Windshield is broken, side windows have some cracks or fogging along edges. Rear window if fine. All are factory tinted. I do have the original back seat and the front bumper, they will be included with the car. The front fenders need headlight panels and patches at the bottom where they meet the doors. Inner fenders and even the battery box are not rusted out at all. Rear quarters have the usually rust at bottom behind wheels, rockers have just small rusted areas. The front floors are near perfect, still red paint, rear foot wells have some small pin holes, area under back seat does need some patching. The trunk area is fine, especially in the corners where these cars usually rust out. The spare tire well is rusted out and will need attention. This car has all of the wiring, switches and motors still intact. It is a nice unmolested car that would make a great restoration project or a perfect parts car. The data plate info is as follows. D7FW254XXX, Body 51A Color VE Trim BF Production Code 29C236A. This decodes as follows. Red and white with red and white interior with a 312 4-barrel engine and automatic transmission, w/power brakes. The car is available for inspection with an appointment, please.
