This is a fantastic 1961 Mercedes Benz 180 4 door sedan. It is in very nice and very drivable condition. It has a Webasto full roll back sliding sunroof that works perfect and is in super nice condition. Mechanically the car is in very good condition. The engine starts easy, sounds nice and runs very strong with great oil pressure. There is a bit of hesitation when the throttle is floored and may need minor tuning or carb repair but overall it is very drivable. The 12v electrics work great. The Body is in great condition with only a few minor scratches and a couple of small dings. The car was repainted silver around 1997. The original colour was blue. The paint still shines very nicely. There are a few small bubbles of surface rust in the paint. the worst is shown in one of the pictures (where the left rear fender meets the body just ahead of the boot lid). Underneath the car is mostly very solid but there are a few areas showing some rust. The interior is mostly original. The headliner was redone around 1997 and is very nice. The Seats, door panels, carpets, dash etc. are all original and in decent condition but showing some age. The windscreen has a small chip and some fogging around the bottom right corner but otherwise all the glass is good. The chrome is very respectable with minor scratches and pitting. All the gauges work but the fuel gauge is a little erratic and not reliable below 1/2 full. The Toyo 185/70 R13 tyres are nearly new and it has a nice spare. The brakes work perfect and are running on Dot 5 silicone fluid. The hand brake works great too. It has its original tube radio still in the dash but not working, Included are some spare radio parts that might help get it going. Also included is a spare instrument cluster. Overall this is a very nice classic car that although not perfect is in great drivable condition and is ready for summer fun! It has a clear title and is currently licensed I highly recommend and encourage a personal inspection if possible. Car can be viewed by appointment in Snohomish WA (near Seattle).
