Vehicle Detail

1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. For sale or partial trade. This car has been my daily driver for about the last 6 months, it is an automatic with power steering and it has been very dependable and it runs, drives and stops good. It has had a lot of money and time spent on the drive train, and it would be a great car to drive as you finish the cosmetics. I have owned it about 2 years and I planned to finish the restoration but unfortunately due to health problems I am forced to sell it. I would consider a partial trade for a practical or interesting vehicle, bike, 4 wheeler ect, please no projects. A vehicle that needs some cosmetics or very minor mechanical work is OK. Please email me with what you have to trade and the actual estimated value. This Dart has a 360 with less than 5000 miles on a total professional rebuild. All machine work was professionally performed and the rotating assembly balanced. The block was bored .30 over with Wiesco forged pistons. It has a Mopar purple shaft cam, it has a great sound but not too radical. It has J heads professionally ported with big valves installed, it has Crane gold roller rockers, Weind intake, Holley 670 street avenger carb with electric choke, Holley fuel pump and regulator. Mopar electronic ignition. Engine runs perfect, has incredible power, and sounds awesome with the Hooker headers and Flow master 20 exhaust that has turndowns in front of rear axel. It has a new dash pad and mechanical water and oil gauges, the engine runs very cool and the oil pressure is perfect. This is not a car for someone that does not want to be noticed, it turns heads and gets a lot of thumbs up. At the same time as the engine was built, a new in the crate TCI street fighter 727 transmission was installed, with a TCI street fighter 2500 stall converter, and a Hurst Promatic 2 ratchet shifter. It has a Rebuilt and balanced driveshaft. Has new gas shocks on front and new air shocks on rear. It has almost new tires with old school style slotted mag wheels. The previous owner rebuilt the drum brakes with new shoes and all new springs and hardware. I am an very honest person, you can see by my feedback, and and I do not want any disappointments, so I will list all of the cars needs to the best of my knowledge. This is one of the nicer, nearly rust free 70 Dart Swingers you will ever find. No rust at rear window, rockers, or floor pans at all. The only rust is on the lower quarters, (which is very common for Mopars), the driver side is the worst, (still not bad) and the passenger side is very minor (please see pics) The paint is a decent 20 footer, but needs at least some touch ups, but it still gets positive attention. It drives like most old cars do so don't expect Porsche handling, I had planned on sway bars and a Mopar Tuff wheel, sway bars sell for about $100 on ebay. It really needs a posi rear to make it hook up, it will smoke the single tire even at speed if you get on it hard. The interior has racing buckets, not my taste, but I'm an old geezer, i'm sure you can sell or trade for a stock seat, as I was planning to do. The rear seat needs recovering badly, and it needs a package tray. It has a cheep working CD player and 6 X 9 rear speakers. At the moment the carpet has been removed so you can examine the rust free floor pans. The speedo works but it is not even close to accurate. The dome light works but it needs a new lens. The master cylinder has a slow leak, a rebuild kit is dirt cheep or a new one on ebay is $31.50. The previous owner lost the code tag on the inner fender, I understand they can be remade if you just got to have one. The guy said it was a factory 6 cyl white top car. That is all I know that it needs, It is a good daily driver while you restore it the rest of the way, most of the hard and expensive work has been done, but it is a 42 year old car so don't expect it to be perfect. So please email with any questions you may have, or your partial trade. If you need it shipped, I will help with your shipper any way I can. I require a $150 deposit with in 72 hours just to weed out the dreamers, and that will be refundable if the car is not as represented. I only do real, no reserve auctions so the high bidder will be the proud owner I'm sure, so bid to win. Thanks for reading and good luck!
