I have a 1990 Daihatsu Rocky 4x4 convertible up for auction, It DOES NOT have an engine. You can put an engine in it or use it for parts. I bought it off ebay a couple of years back as a project. I can't seem to find time to do anything with it and I need the space in my storage building. The Rocky was a v8 conversion with a chevy 350 small block, turbo 350 automatic transmission and transfer case in it when I purchased it. The turbo 350 transmission and transfer case are still in the vehicle and in good condition. The Rocky has junk tires on black spoke wheels on it at present. The lift will allow 38.5" tires. The body is in terrific shape for the age. The body is complete and very straight. There are some minor dings and scratches but, no major dents. It has the removable fiberglass roof cover over the front of the passenger compartment and a removable fiberglass hard top over the rear of the vehicle. If you have a convertible Rocky and have looked for hard covers then you know how rare this is. The front seats have tears in them and have seat covers. The rear fold down seat is in good condition. The carpet has been replaced with new factory molded oem carpet. There is no rust or bubbled paint. The windshield is cracked but, all other glass is perfect. If you are needing a good parts vehicle then you found one here. I have a clear title in hand. I don't need a deposit at the end of the auction, just be a responsible ebayer and follow thru with pick up & payment. Pay Pal or cash when you pick up your purchase works fine for me. On Apr-22-12 at 21:05:42 PDT, seller added the following information: The Rocky is a 4x4 with the original factory front and rear axles. The front axle is an independent suspension with manual lock out hubs. The Rocky originally had a 1.6 four cylinder engine and 5 speed manual transmission. The previous owner had converted the Rocky to a small block chevy v8 engine and 3 speed chevy turbo transmission coupled to a transfer case from a chevy donor vehicle. The transmission and transfer are still in the vehicle and were in good working condition when I pulled the engine. The gauges in the dash worked including the gas gauge. There is a 6" body lift under the vehicle. I bought the vehicle to get the new 350 Chevy crate engine and the new 38.5 ITP Swamper tires it had. I removed the engine and tires to complete another project. The Rocky's body was in such good shape I figured I would do something with it at a later date. Life changes things with out notice, I no longer have the time or space for these kinds of projects.
