Vehicle Detail

I am not sure where one could find a nicer example of a 1986 Toyota SR5 4x4 Pickup but there may be one out there. Short history is I purchased it from a caring owner who purchased it from his father. It is a California truck. No rust at all. The condition is impressive to say the least. Please note this truck does retain its factory paint which shines like the day it was new. The truck has 144,000 original miles. With that being said, I will describe the truck in sections starting with the body. Body – As stated earlier the truck still wears it original paint, and holds a very nice shine. I have learned that high end paint work never equals that of original factory paint, so was very glad to find this with original paint. However, this paint is 26 years old and does have minor flaws. These include minor dings. These could addressed but I do not want to take a chance of compromising the original paint. There is absolutely not rust on this truck from top to bottom, and yes this includes the bed. Being an SR5 it does have almost every chrome option. All chrome is in good presentable condition. Overall extremely nice truck. Motor- The drive train is in fantastic condition. The motor has received within the last 500 miles. -Brand New Cylinder head “with OEM Toyota cam” -New timing chain kit “upgraded to steel timing guides” -New Timing cover, Oil pump, and water pump -All new gasket throughout motor from top to bottom -All new spark plugs, air filter, Cap & rotor, and of course all new fluids throughout entire drive train. –Brand new clutch, and slave cylinder. The truck has 144,000 original miles, and should be set to go another 150,000 trouble free. Suspension- Entire suspension is very tight and clean. Recent work includes new ball joints, all new brakes, “newer” shocks, and recent alignment. Also new 31 x 10.5 all terrain tires have been added. The truck rides & stops very nice. Interior- The interior is very clean, and has been well kept. The original carpeting is still in good clean condition, as is the original head liner. The seats are great with no rips or holes. Same goes for the door panels. No stains anywhere in the interior. Only negative is the dash pad. It has a couple of cracks that have been repaired to stop further cracking but are still visible. Please feel free to contact me though email with any questions. I do have pictures documenting most work that has been done & can email them if interested. I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a nicer example of a classic Toyota. Here’s your chance to own the best mini truck ever made. Looks beautiful, drives great, and enjoy great MPG down the highway. Truck is located in Rainier Oregon about 45 mins outside of Portland & approx. 2 hours south of Seattle. This is a NO Reserve Auction, truck will be sold to highest bidder. Thank you for viewing. None refundable deposit of $500 due within 24 hours of auction ending. Can meet at Portland airport to drop car off to you. Will also work with shipping, you set up. On Apr-17-12 at 08:08:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received a few emails with concerns that this truck may NOT be an SR5. The reason I believe this to be an SR5 is the Original title belonging to the truck clearly stated the model as being an SR5. I do not want to misrepresent anything about this truck. Im simply stating what the original title stated this truck to be. Please bid accordingly as this may not be an SR5. Thank you for looking. On Apr-21-12 at 20:07:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi, a couple of folks asked about engine condition. I have photo's of when the engine was open. The cylinders still show x-hatch, pistons were very clean. The cylinder head was not rebuilt, but rather replaced with a BRAND NEW head along with a NEW timing cover, chain, etc.. Every time something needed care on this truck, the previous owner mostly replaced with OEM new. The Toyota shows VERY-VERY nicely. I constantly have people following me to stop and talk about it. Nearly all say it is the nicest vintage pick-up they have seen. One thing unusual is that this is one of the few vehicles, I have seen that shows better in person---as you know, most vehicles do not measure up to photos. Please remember this is a no reserve auction and is for sale. Please ensure you can follow thru with the transaction at end of auction.
