This 97,000 mile Saab is a 3 door coupe, two front doors and a big rear hatch. The front wheels are powered by the 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission. The turbo engine acts exactly as you would expect an under 100,000 mile engine to run. It fires up easily, runs smoothly, and makes good boost pressure. The 5-speed transmission shifts easily and the clutch grabs smoothly. There is no evidence I see under the hood of “tuner” or non-factory spec parts. The suspension is in good order. It does not clunk or shake you to death. This car could benefit from an alignment. It does not pull, but the steering wheel sits a little off center and the wheels are wearing on the inside edges. The brakes stop quick and straight. The exterior of this car is in average condition for the age and mileage. There is no major damage, just the small blemishes that accumulate from normal use. (see pics). There is a factory spoiler mounted on the truck. The 3-spoke alloy wheels are in very good condition and wrapped in good radial tires. The fronts have about ½ life, the rears are a bit thinner. This is a Virginia car and does not have the rust that can plague Northern cars.The interior of this car is in above average condition. The heated, power leather seats are in very good condition. There are no rips or tears, only the usual wear on the drivers seat bolsters. The rear seat looks like it may never have been sat on! The headliner is in good condition. It is not ripped or stained. The carpets are in excellent condition. The full set of Saab floor mats are in very good condition and show very little wear for the age. The door panels are in excellent condition with no stains or tears.This car has the power options, windows, locks, and mirrors. All work as they should. The automatic climate control works, hot or cold, and the A/C blows cold. The factory AM/FM cassette radio works well and has good sound quality. The power sunroof tilts and slides to let in plenty of air and sun. This car has a Virgina state inspection good through 10-12. It has a full set of manuals including the all important radio security code card. This Saab is a very nice example of a 900SE. It appears to have been very well cared for and is probably the best second gen 900 I’ve come across. The SE is a fun little car that still gets good gas mileage. The in dash average MPG is showing around 30 mpg in mixed city and highway driving.
