We road test each vehicle before offering it for sale so we can tell you first hand how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am a wholesaler, not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately to the best of my ability. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully and review each of the photos closely before bidding or asking questions. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Ford F150 XL 4x4. This is a pretty basic work truck. I would rate its condition as AVERAGE for the age and miles on it. It is finished in a deep blue (almost indigo) which is a nice color. There is no major damage to the exterior of this truck. There is some minor rust on the fenders of the bed but it's not too bad. This truck has the long bed which makes it perfect for work. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The tires are average, except for the front right tire which is shot. I was expecting this truck to drive like crap seeing that tire but it doesn't drive like there are any issues in the front end. Up front there is a push bar which some idiot decided to turn into a checker board. They look like stickers which should easily come off, unless you are into that sort of thing. I would rate the interior of this truck to also be AVERAGE for an older truck. There really isn't much to say. The seat is clean. The floor is clean. The dash looks good. There is no radio. The heater works. There is a sliding rear window...one of the panels of glass isn't attached to the latch bar. I don't know what else to say... Mechanically, this truck appears to be still kicking. The big 300ci inline six cylinder engine starts easily. It does have a noticable misfire and is probably well past needing a tune up. It has good oil pressure and keeps proper temperature. I didn't see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The exhaust is disconnected after the muffler but the rest is there if you want to hook it up. The muffler looks newer...so all you should need is an exhaust clamp and some motivation if you want to hook it up. The 4WD uses standard hubs, no electronics. The clutch feels very strong. Gear changes feel like they should. The front end feels tight. The brakes feel good. She drives nice and strait in spite of that jacked up front right tire. This truck has dual tanks. Both work...the gauge does not (big shocker). There isn't much to say...throw a few bucks at an afternoon tune up and you'll probably have a nice running truck.
