An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1997 Volvo 850. The 1997 model year was the last year that the 850 was available to us. I would rate the exterior condition of this Volvo to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a good looking Volvo. The white finish has a deep shine and looks good. This was a "city car" so there are several scratches, scuffs and dings on the exterior which were hard to see in the photos. There appears to be no major damage...just some parking scars. Being a newer 850, this car has the upeated front end and trunk which gives a more modern look. Additionally, this car has the spoked alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels are wrapped in decent rubber, too. I would rate the interior condition of this Volvo 850 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and miles of the vehicle. As you open the door, you are greeted by an uncommon black interior which is cleaner than most. The door cards are all clean and tight. The carpets are clean, full looking and show well throughout the interior. The headliner is also clean. The black leather seats also show very well and are still supple and comfortable, not hard and cracked like they get when you don't take care of your leather. This 850 is pretty well optioned, too. It has front fog lights, heated seats, power seat, sunroof and Volvo Premium Sound with CD. The power windows, locks, seats, sunroof and mirrors all work properly. The stereo system sounds great. The climate control system works perfectly and the air conditioner blows ice cold air. This Volvo comes with three keys, one remote and a complete set of original manuals with the original touch up paint, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running condition. The 2.4L turbocharged inline five cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. I've driven this car quite a bit and it is the best driving 850 I've had so far, hands down. The suspension is tight all around. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes do an excellent job at stopping this car. The engine keeps a steady temperature and there are no warning lights on. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Out on the highway, she cruises with absolutely no complaints. According to the service sticker, the timing belt was just done at 140k so you won't have to worry about that for another five years. She has a few bumps and bruises from daily use but make no mistake, it appears like the previous owner took excellent care of this Volvo. It shows the second you sit in the drivers seat. All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Fees:
An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Buyer is responsible for their own taxes, tags, registration, or any other fee due to their State. 30 day transport tags (aka In Transit or temp tags) are available through PennDOT to out of state buyers for a fee.
