Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1985 Mazda RX-7 GS. The car drives nicely and runs very strong. The car has a Racing Beat intake with Holley carburetor, which was recently rebuilt. When we purchased the car, the choke was not connected. We installed a replacement manual choke activator to go with the Holley carburetor. The key works in the ignition and rear hatch but not the doors. Mileage on the odometer reads at 120K which we believe to be accurate after some research, but the title says that mileage exceeds mechanical limits. The driver door panel has a tear and the dash is missing both the driver and passenger knee bolster. The rear quarter trims are there, and are intact, but have significant sun fade. Other than those few things, the car interior is in good shape. It has the rear cargo area carpet but no spare tire cover. Needs a rear wiper blade and the front wipers may need to be replaced. Includes factory wheels, which are in good shape and have a good-quality paint job. Tires are also in good condition. All emissions equipment was removed from this vehicle by a previous owner, but is exempt from emissions standards in most areas of the country due to its age. Check out our video of the RX-7: youtube.com/watch?v=d43RNGUbgRw OEM paint is in respectable shape, considering the car is from 1985, with minimal chips and very little fading. I spent 2 hours rubbing the paint out with Mother's California Gold cleaner and then applied sealant and the car shines brilliantly. Interior of the car is stock, including OEM radio. Warning lights all function, however, gauges operate intermittently. Speedometer and tach work perfectly. An aftermarket 3-gauge set should be in this car's future. Comparable cars with the intake and exhaust combination on this vehicle produce in the range of 200-230 rwhp. Having driven the car, my "butt dyno" would say that is a fair assessment. The car is INCREDIBLY quick, especially once the secondaries open on the 4-barrel carb. This car comes with an Arkay turbo kit. We received this kit in a box along with the car and never installed it, so we don't know the exact condition of this turbo kit. The kit includes all of the pieces pictured and after researching it, we believe it is complete. The turbocharger exhaust manifold is installed on the car with a plate covering the turbocharger inlet (hot side.) The Racing Beat intake and carburetor setup on this car currently sells for about $850. Cars in comparable condition have sold recently for about $3000. We have no idea what the exceptionally rare Arkay turbo kit is worth, because it hasn't been sold in years. Bid with confidence because you are going to get a good car at a great price.
