Up for auction is this all original 1969 Buick Skylark Convertible. This baby still has the original 350-2 barrell with 59000 actual miles. Its still has the original 3 speed transmission however, the shifter was on the column from the factory. It is now in the floor. The original shift lever is still on the column and I have the linkage to put it back if desired. The car runs and drives great. Absolutely no mechanical problems. Starts on the first crank. Even the fast idle works when its cold. One touch of the gas and it kicks down to slow idle. This car has power steering, power disk brakes and drives and stops like a dream. As you can see in the pics this car is not perfect. The car was originally green but has been repainted to the red you see in the pics. The previous owner owned this car for 18 years and said that the car was painted when he bought it. So, the paint is at least that old. It does have a few chips and is starting to fade a little but still looks great for a driver. The body of the car has no rust other that just surface rust underneath and what you can see in the trunk pan. Very little work is needed to make this car ready for new paint if that is your desire. The interior is all original. As you can see in the pics the seats need new foam and covers as well as the carpet. The door panels are not terrible but this car is worthy of a complete restoration of the interior. The top is hydraulic and works perfect. All lights, wipers, heater, turn signal etc, work perfectly. The engine bay is also all original. It could use some TLC as well but is complete and in good shape. The top has been replaced but has one small tear on the back drivers side about 1 inch long. The only other problem the car has is the passenger rear window is off its track. Not sure what it needs to be fixed but I dont think its anything major. Just off the track.
