Vehicle Detail
This is a 1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi. This vehicle has been a part of my personal collection for over 12 years now and have cherished having it. I have been a car collector my whole life and keep a high standard for all my vehicles. I have never driven it in the rain and have always kept it in a climate (temperature/humidity) controlled facility. I bought this Ferrari back in '95 in Southern California where it spent nearly all of its life and had it painted. I spared no expense and had Gary Baca, a highly respected painter in Southern California paint the car. He had a lot of experince with painting 308s and took great attention to detail. This paint is better than what the factory every produced and you won't find a nicer paint job on any other 308. The paint is perfect showroom quality with no orange peel and has great depth. The interior is in good condition with no cuts or tears. I have only put 4000 miles since I have owend it. Mechanically the drive train is sound. The engine doesn't over heat and has a lot of oil pressure, I took a picture of the guages with the car at operating temperate to illistrate the oil pressure. The result is 45 psi @ idle and 65 psi @2000 rpms. The clutch and transmission work perfectly. 4000 miles ago the clutch was replaced, the transmission was completely rebuilt and the 30k service was done. There is great history that comes with this 308, it is one of the highest documented 308s you'll find. I have the origianl sales reciept/purchase order from the original dealer and a copy of the cancelled chech from the original owner, he paid $54,771.70, a lot of money in 1980! I have all reciepts of the transmission rebuild and clutch replacement. This car was originally sold with the existing very rare and expensive 3 piece BBS Race Wheels and they don't leak any air at all. It also comes with the original spare. I have the original first regristration with 110 miles on the car. All factory owners manuals and service books are included with the car. I hate to part with it, its my wife's favorite car but I need to thin down the herd.On Apr-09-12 at 08:16:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention a few things, the original tools are included and the cam belts were replaced as part of the 30k service. The cam belts were replaced at 6,000 miles ago. Also I need to make a few corrections, I have actually owned the car for 17 years and the clutch and transmission were replaced/rebuilt 10,000 miles ago, I apologize for the mix up, I was going off of memory, but the original reciept show it being done 10k ago.On Apr-12-12 at 08:24:38 PDT, seller added the following information: The car has air conditioning and it works perfectly. Another note to mention, the engine starts right up everytime, idles great, has a lot of power and runs perfectly and never misses a beat..
