Each vehicle is road tested before being listed on eBay so I can tell you first hand how it runs and drives. I am a wholesaler, not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately to the best of my ability. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully and review each of the photos closely. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 Volvo C70 convertible. I have owned this vehicle for some time and have not had the time to mess with it. I would rate the exterior condition of this Volvo to be AVERAGE for the age and mileage of the vehicle. Overall, this is a good looking car. The dark blue finish has a deep shine and looks good. There is some minor damage to the front bumper as shown in the photos and also a mark on the rear bumper. The alloy wheels look good. The tires will need to be replaced. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The top appears to be in good condition and shows one nick on the right side. The rear window has separated from the top and will need to be repaired. It looks like it can be repaired without replacing the top. I would rate the interior condition of this Volvo C70 to also be in AVERAGE condition for the age and miles of the vehicle. The door panels are both clean and tight. The seats show some wear but not bad for a convertible at all. The carpets are clean throughout the interior. The headliner is clean. This Volvo C70 is equipped with power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and top. The front seats are also heated, too. Everything inside the car is working properly. The top does work properly. However, the boot will not close fully because of the rear window not laying correctly when the top is lowered. The climate control is fully automatic. The stereo system is the original Volvo Premium Sound with radio, cassette and in dash CD changer which sounds great. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in need of minor work. It will need the ETM replaced (as most do at some point). This was a problem that Volvo has acknowledged and remedied. One can purchase an original one on eBay for about $200 or an updated one for about $350 (yellow and blue label respectively). The car does run and drive but it will hesitate due to the malfunctioning ETM. "ETM" stands for Electronic Throttle Module. Basically, Volvo went from a traditional cable between the gas pedal and throttle body to an electronic throttle body. They most all malfunction causing idle issues and drivability issues in some cases. It sounds bad but all you're doing is basically replacing the throttle body which is fairly strait forward. I intended to do it myself but I am way too busy. I buy, market and sell 10-15 vehicles weekly with a staff of two (me and my partner). There are lots of little things sitting around that we simply don't get to...like this. As much as I hate to sell it like this, I need the space and obviously don't have the time. Additionally, the coolant reservoir bottle leaks. I do have a replacement that I will send with the car. I've driven this car as it is with the leak. It is fine to drive locally (within an hour or so)...I wouldn't take it long distance until the leak is fixed. The 2.4L turbocharged engine does start easily and run smoothly. I did not see any leaks other than the coolant bottle and the engine does not smoke. The suspension and steering feel good and the brakes stop this car well. There is a vibration in the wheel due to bad tires which I previously mentioned would need to be replaced. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. I haven't driven this car in some time. I actually forgot I had it. I'm in the mood to clean house. I have more "projects" than time. With a minimal amount of work, this will be a great car.
