Vehicle Detail
For Sale- 1991 Mustang LX. An original 2.3 car that id bought from an older lady out of Iowa. She had bought the car brand new, and was selling it. It is an extremely clean Foxbody, All the existing Red paint on the car is 100% original. It is flawless. I bought the car with 53,000 miles on it and have racked it up to 71,955. I never really had intentions of swapping this car, but it was so much more realistic because these cars are so hard to come by in this shape. Unfortunatly this last summer a guy pulled out in front of me and i did wreck it. The airbag did deploy, and the front end swayed. So we straitened it and got new panels for it, Which are now all prepped and for the most part ready for paint. They are Polyester primed and just need be sanded. They are very strait panels. Other than that like I said it was an original 2.3 car that we have now swapped to an 86 5.0L. It is not the HO. The engine was in the donor car and ran amazing, so all we did was put some new gaskets on it and cleaned it up and dropped it in. This engine still runs amazing, I wouldnt be afraid to drive it anywhere. No knocks, or anything. Miles are unknown on the engine as the donor car had no cluster. We did decide to leave the Air out, and so the compressor is just sitting there as a pulley. As is the smog pump. The power steering is not hooked up either, as the little plastic spout on the bottom of it is broken off, so there is no way to get fluid into it. The wiring is mostly complete. There are a couple of little odds and ends that need to be adressed, as the tack and temp guage, and the power locks. Its all part of the fun in swapping new motors. The original AOD tranny that came married to the engine was shot, so we opted for a c4 instead. The c4 that is in the car was rebuilt some years ago, but will be needing a new pan gasket and solenoids for 1st and second gears individually. It has no problems in drive, but will not go into 1st or second. Easy fix really. The rearend in the car is the original 7.5, and with the c4 and 2.3 rearend combo, it makes for a peppy car in 1st and sencond gear. The new things that have been put into the car are all new plugs and wires, new gaskets, shorty headers, a Pacesetter Off Road X Pipe, and Thrush turbo mufflers that are just dumped. The car sounds amazing. Also the car has 8000k HID kit, and 10th anniversary cobra wheels, with cobra R center caps. It also has a brand new windshield. So all in all just a very good running car that needs a few last touches to make it 100% functional, it has been a great daily driver for me for the last month now, and I am looking to move on to an S195.
