Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1934 Pierce Arrow 836A. With a production that lasted only one year, and roughly 500 made during that time, this would make a very unique project for someone. Or it could be a source of parts for another 836A. This is being re-listed because the buyer couldn't afford to have it shipped to them. If you are not going to haul this car yourself, you need to get a shipping quote BEFORE you bid. I cannot stress this enough...if you're considering buying the car, it's your responsibility to determine if you can afford shipping prior to bidding (not AFTER winning the car!). A note on shipping: Since the car doesn't have an engine/transmission (let alone run) it's considered inoperable by most carriers. And it has multiple loose parts. These are things you need to mention to potential carriers when asking for a quote. The Body: Included are the radiator shell with grill insert, hood top and sides, body shell, all four doors, and the running boards. It does have varying amounts of rust (which I included pictures of, see below), but overall it's fairly solid. It does not have a trunk lid or any fenders. The Frame / Chassis: As pictured, the frame horns were torched off some time in the past...my best guess is that someone wanted the front bumper and couldn't get the bolts off, so they took a torch to the frame horns. As of right now, it has a set of temporary frame horns bolted to the frame which works great for moving the car around. The front axle is the original 8 cyl. Pierce axle. It's complete enough to move the car around, but is missing various brake parts (see pictures below). The rear axle is from an International truck. From all outward appearances, it looks complete (I haven't had it apart, so I can't guarantee what's there and what isn't). The Interior: There really isn't too much left in this department. The seat springs for the front and rear seats are included, as is the original seat back with robe rail for the front seat. But that's essentially all that remains. It doesn't have an engine or transmission, or any parts other than what is pictured. This Pierce Arrow will be sold with a KS bill of sale only. This car is being sold AS-IS, where-is. The buyer will be responsible for arranging their own transportation. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due within 48hrs of auction close, with the remaining balance due within 7 days of auction close. If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to ask, but please ask them before bidding. Thanks for looking! On Mar-19-12 at 19:23:13 PDT, seller added the following information:
