Up for your consideration is a very nice 2004 Ford Crown Victoria with the P71 Police Interceptor package. This vehicle is ideal for use by a security company or small police department as it remains almost fully equipped, but would also make a great daily driver! I have owned many of these cars and will describe this one in detail. 2004 is regarded by many P71 enthusiasts as the best model year, because they are not plauged by the timing chain issues of the 2003 models, have the drastically updated suspension over the 1998-2002 models, have an aggressive PCM tune, and lack the controversial drive by wire system of the 2005 and up cars. The 2004 Police Interceptors are the quickest model year ever made and are the certainly most sought after by enthusiasts. This particular car has just over 173,000 miles on it, but drives like a car with much lower mileage. It was owned by a small police department (for Park Service) in rural Ohio and maintained on a strict schedule. It is in pristine mechanical condition: starts, drives, and shifts flawlessly. I ran the Ford KOEO and KOER diagnostic tests with perfect results. Fresh oil change with Valvoline oil. Tracks down the road straight, with no shake/shimmy/vibration or pull. The engine is quiet with absolutely no ticking, knocking, or timing chain noise. The Air Bag light remains illuminated when the car is running. A scan shows code 21, which indicates that the passenger airbag has been disconnected. This is common practice to keep the laptop/MDT and its rack from hitting and injuring the driver during a collision. The airbag is still installed and could be reconnected. Rear tires are newer Goodyear Eagle speed-rated police duty tires with at least 8/32nds tread depth. Fronts are not as new and have about 4/32nds. They should probably be replaced before winter. The exterior is in great shape with no remainder of decals. There are some dings on the trunk lid from usage of a bike rack, and there is a ding on the passenger side rear quarter panel. I included photos of these defects. Overall, it is in outstanding condition considering that it is a used police car. Tan interior is clean. Passenger seat looks unused, while the driver seat has some wear and torn stitching where the hinge is attached (see photos) Vinyl/rubber floor is in good shape. No strange odors or any indication of usage by a smoker. Car comes equipped with a Federal Signal PA300 control box for siren, lights, and PA system, along with a Setina Body Guard Plexi-Glass locking partition and a Pro-Gard electronically controlled shotgun rack. Wiring is disconnected per eBay policy but can be reconnected and used. Code 3 Excalibur lightbar with takedown lights, alley lights, and worklight. The lenses are currently blue and red and are covered up in the photos. Non law-enforcement buyers will receive amber lenses installed on the lightbar, or it can be removed altogether with just one small plug remaining in the roof.
